It's just a poor game. It looks very pretty but the plot is absent, awful writing and dialog, terrible controls, boring missions, zero interesting story progression. This is very disappointing after Assassin's Creed 4, which got the balance right between fascinating world building, new game-play mechanics and an interesting story, making it the best AC since Ezio's journey in ACII.
I'm a massive Fallout fan and really I enjoyed this feature. I think Danny's work is always thoughtful, insightful and interesting - just what Gamespot needs. More Danny please, and thanks for getting rid of Feedbackula - that was the exact opposite of what Danny does.
@Instructor_Doc Agreed. And the original game was so boring I couldn't even finish it. You couldn't even level up at a decent pace through normal gameplay so people wasted a lot of time finding glitches to level up. Poor game.
I wonder why the Gears Lead Designers left the company in between Gears 3 and this game? Or why Baird and Cole disappear for half the game in Gears 3? Or why one prequel adventure got released as DLC and this wasn't? Interesting, to say the least.
Have to say I'm enjoying it so far - started playing today and couldn't stop for 4 hours - a sign of a good game for me, a bit like a good book. A lot more reminiscent of the first game, but yes, of course, the formula is not shocking any more, even if it does still make you jump sometimes. It's now more of a straightforward sci-fi action game. I like it.
