Long live the Remparts!

Do you know Canadian junior hockey? If not, it's no big deal. I'm just talking about that, because it was the big championship this weekend. The Memorial Cup, as it is named, reunites four teams. Usually there are the winners of the three local leagues championships (West, Ontario and Quebec & East), plus the host team. This year, there have been the West and Ontario, just like it's supposed to be, but the East champions were also the host team, so the other team was the finalist team of Quebec championship. But it's the latter team who won the Cup. The team is the Quebec City Remparts. They're lead by a certain Patrick Roy. Those who follow should know that Roy is one of the greatest goaltenders of all time and he became coach after he retired. Quebec & East league is little known in hockey business, but it produces players who become superstars. Recent players include Vincent Lecavalier, Brad Richars, Sidney Crosby, Marc-André Fleury, Michael Ryder etc. All this is for saying that I'm really proud of the Remparts and I hope them the best of luck for next season. Have a nice day!
