IN 2010 Xbox 360 will be 5 years old. Xbox had a console cycle of 4 years. Xbox 360 will not be cancled like Xbox was so it can go on to sell for as long as MS wants it to.

1. DirectX is MS's new
2. If MS goes with Intel then, Intel wants it out as soon as possible.
3. Wii and or Sony may launch and MS does not want to be second or third out the gate
4. MS makes money selling Software. LIKE DirectX, Office, server, Business, ... ETC. so losing money in the beggining is not a problem for them. They have different goals than Sony or Nintendo.
5. Xbox 360 is neaerly taped out in power.The games nextyear will show that they look just as they do this comming fall release, while PS3 games continues to look inproved.
6. Though Natal is coming out next year?? I could be easier ifMS just releases a new console with the tech included. Intell is all over them wanting to partner up again. WinTel has been very profitable for both companies.
7. An early release has helped most developers use the Xbox 360 as the main develop platfrom and then port from there. With DirectX 11 they can do it again.

Though there is a high probability that MS will wait till 2011, there still is a slight chance that the console will come out in 2010. We never know, and I believe any Business person about as far as I can through them. They work in their own intrest and coming out now about whne they will launch is not in their intrest!!!!!

On the second point,i hoppe so,because intel is the way or amd,not IBM.

on the 5 point i cant agree,because ps3 only have a geforce 7800 gpu,unless they take power out of their a.s.s with a big miracle,looking improved will not happend.

In my opinion,the next xbox should go with intel and ati,and with wlan,8gb of DDR3 Ram on a 64bits OS made for the next xbox,so games could start running on 64bits instructions.I cant specify which hardware i would like to see,because a lot of things happend and technology changes,and DX12 will be probably out on that time.

I think it should not keep the gore for Modern Warfare 2. It works with the WWII setting because it was like that. People being turned into pudding, Burned alive, and blown to kibbles and bits. It fits the mood. I dont think it works with todays standards because it is not like that. Not a huge war and no one blowing up.
