Load up Broken Steel and...
3 - The first 'quest' is to go speak to Rothchild. I also had the problem where he would tell me to stand in front of the map but the script wouldn't trigger. a. Open the console and type "SetObjectiveCompleted DLC03BS1 10 1" without quotes. This will skip the Rothchild conversation. Next, type "SetObjectiveDisplayed DLC03BS1 15 1", again without quotes. This will give you the next quest objective. Once you reach the destination you will have to do a console unlock on the door, as I assume you were supposed to receive it from Rothchild.

thank you, i resolved some problems. this is my situation: i have finished "death from above" and i also got the achievement. the next quest is alredy started, and now i must find tristan. the problem is that tristan is completely vanished. tomorrow i'll try to find him using "placeatme" console command. last thing. when i go to the purifier, there is no clean water. it's still irradiated and the purifier doesnt work. some othr suggestion for the purifier??
Activitating and then deactivating Broken Steel essentially means the game forgets it has began the Broken Steel questline in the first place. If you want to play Broken Steel, you must keep it active from the original ending onwards. The only option is to reload a save where the original game ending hasn't occurred, and begin from there.
