Yep, I had the same reaction as Faith Hill at the 2006 Country Music Awards when the always unbearable Ryan Seacrest announced that Antonella Barba will still compete.
You know, I'm bored by American Idol but I wanna watch it since it became so important thanks to people like J-Hud, Carrie Underwood, Fantasia...
I'm happy that Alaina Alexander was voted off; she wasn't that talented and her attitude... ugh. Moreover, an aspiring singer living in Hollywood; how cliché and sad is that?!
Another reason to prove that this was a good choice is that after the elimination she wasn't able to sing because she got emotional and couldn't hold the tears. Come on, you're a singer on the stage, do your job and stop crying!
That's also the reason why I hate Sundance; everytime they showed him he was crying. In case you didn't get it, I hate people who cry; well, PDE (Public Display of Emotions) in general.
Back to Mrs. Beard ("barba" is italian for "beard"), not only she is talentless, she also is arrogant! I knew someone was going to come up with J-Hud, and it was her. After being criticized by the judges on her bad singing, she said to Simon:
"Simon was wrong about Jennifer Hudson, so, hopefully..."
Proving he's the best, he promptly responded:
"Let me be absolutely clear, ok? We put Jennifer Hudson in American Idol, the American audience voted her out, ok?"
TEAM SIMON! :D
By the way, does she really think she is able to pull a J-Hud?! PUH-LEASE!!!
Oh, about the "racy" pictures, Antonella's best friend Amanda Coluccio released this comment:
"I've studied them. It's not her nose. She's never had (acrylic nail) tips in her life. She's the least slutty person I know."
This is so funny! She didn't say "She's not slutty!" but "She's the least slutty person I know.". LOL!
Another person I was happy to see go back home was Nicholas Pedro; he's not the worst singer on earth, but what bothered me about him it's that he's so common, everything about him, from the personality to the clothes...
Seriously, he's so common that they could replace the little man on the doors of the toilets with him (I know this one was mean, but who said I wasn't?!)!
Even though the show gets duller by the minute, I have a favorite contestant. Sanjaya Malakar. And not because of his adorable ginormous cartoonish smile, but because I really like his voice! He reminds me of a young Stevie Wonder. Too bad that during the boys' night he whispered the song instead of singing it out loud!
A male contestant I can't stand?! Brandon Rogers. I don't like his voice at all and he sang a song that I deeply loathe ("Time After Time").
And I plead the fifth on Lakisha Jones's choice of outfit. :zipping my mouth:
I still have to see ANTM cause I'm still downloading it. I can't waaaait!
