The article I read (which prompted my starting of this thread) basically implies that ALL women play these games - not just the psychotic ones. They want a strong man and there's only one way to make sure he's the real deal. Thoughts?
Just read an article about sexual attraction that any single guys out there might find interesting: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=owjJmjQLpwM0YAe8mozCbw_3d_3d (the link goes to a short survey. Someone's giving the article away to do market research) One idea that I liked was the bit about 'tests' - it's a bit controversial and some guys will probably not agree with it, but it helped me understand why some women have tended to lose interest in me after a while. what do you guys (girls?) make of it?
It was done REALLY well in KOTOR. I really got into that world and was basically playing according to how I'd react if it were all real. I started off as just trying to do right by the cause, as most people would, then actually became seduced by the dark side when I visited the Sith homeworld, before finally getting my house in order because of disapproval by some of my party members. That's probably the only game where it was done well, though. The Star Wars universe has that kinda built-in, so it worked. When Biowars tried to put the same thing in Jade Empire and especially in Mass Effect, it just seemed contrived and pointless.
