It's really starting to piss me off. I turn it on, let it finish auto-signing me into the PSN, briefly flick through my friends to see who's on and then i go back and start the game only to get stuck at a black screen. Since it's a bloody Slim, i can't turn it off at the switch, but i can eject the disc and hit restart (which just makes it beep 3 times and nothing happens...real useful feature that)
Does anyone know what this problem is? After unplugging it's power cable and turning it back on the game loads fine, and it's not restricted to one game either. It's really ****ing annoying cause this is the 3rd issue i've had with PS3's. First time the HDD died, then the disc reader died. Now we got a Slim, and it works fine most of the time, just chucks spasms fequently

yeah thats the crap part, my PS3 has already YLOD'd before so it's kind of shi tty that it can happen to me twice...also it's playing games now, but it normally gets through a few matches before it remembers it hates me and dies
Hey, i'm just wondering if anyone is familiar with the error message 80010514. Basically my PS3 seems a bit moody at the moment, i play a lot fo Resistance 2 and i've been managing to load the disk, play maybe 2 or 3 games and then at the end of the game after the leader board comes up and the next game starts to load/exits back to the menu all i see is a black screen, and for games where it's repeated my friends have told me that i'm on all the scoreboads and everything but it's just not showing up for me. Then i reset the system and the disk isn't registering (as in, there is no disk shown in the XMB of whatever the PS3 menu is called) and today we took the disk out and put it back in to see if that would work and it comes up with an error message about the disk load erroring (80010514). Looked it up and apparently it's something to do with defective hardware? If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.
hell yes, i got it this year and its one of my favourite PS3 games (and i'm picky, i trade everything i don't like back in later)
you haven't played much have you? Well, this is what i'm assuming...a Rockstar is the highest rank (as in level, like you start level 1 and level up by picking up money till you get to 10 or something) because i got that trophy by playing like 3 online games...i hate the online though so even if i get all the other trophies (unlikely, even though i got the pigeon one the other day) i'll never bother with those ones.
Hello. I bought an HDMI cable recently and have it set up (not sure how that went but hey, i tried) and have started playing through Grand Theft Auto 4 again...extensively. I've begun to notice a lot more jagged edges then i remember, but it looks better in every other aspect. If i could get rid of the jagged edges it would look amazing, does anyone know if this is normal for GTA IV because i haven't noticed it in any other games?
I like getting trophies too, but i'm not quite the same. For some games i just can't be bothered because i don't like the game (Far Cry 2, Fallout 3 and World at War are 3 examples of games that were fun, but not fun enough for me to want to finish, let alone spend time on.) Others, like Grand Theft Auto 4 i really want to platinum (just spent 2 days killing all the pigeons again, did it once before the trophies were even out yet...makes me want to cry lol) but never will because i hate the multiplayer. Resistance 2, Bioshock and inFamous on the other hand are ones i easily platinumed because i absolutely love the games, even the 10 000 kills one, i'm not very good at multiplayer, but i found the game good enough for me to want to (it's one of my favourites)
Grand Theft Auot 4
Resistance: Fall of Man
Resistance 2
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Killzone 2
inFamous
Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock
Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction
Assassin's Creed
Bioshock
Lego Indiana Jones
Lego Batman
Lego Star Wars (only fun Lego game in my opinion, all the rest were just poorly done rips)
