Recently (about 5 days ago) I purchased a new graphics card. It's a BFG nVidia GeForce 8400 GS. I'm sure most of you 8800 GTSers are laughing at me, but it was a huge upgrade from the 1 that came with my CPU which was a nVidia 6150 SE (Yes that is a six)
Anyway here are the specs:
GPU: nVidia Geforce 8400 GS
Bus Type: PCI Epress
Memory: 512mb DDR2
Core Clock: 450 MHz
Shader Clock: 1134MHz
Memore Data Rate: 600 MHz
Texture Fill Rate: 3.6 Billion/sec
Memory Bandwith: 9.6GB/sec
Shader Model: 4.0
API Support: Direct X 10 and Lower, OpenGL 2.0 and lower for microsoft windows.
Connectors: Dual Link DVI-I, VGA, HDTV + TV Out.
RAMDACs: Dual 400 MHz
HDCP Capable: yes.
Anyway I only kow half of what that means, I was just reading it off the back of the box. It runs all my games great, some of the I can run on high : D. It cost 110 USD + tax from best buy. It's a great alternative for people who don't want to spend big $$$ for an 8800 and so on.
