No no, common sense is that it just might be very very close to the GTX as we can see now, according to me, seeing as how the 7900GT was very very close to the 7800GTX for less then half the price, they called it 8800GT instead of a 8900GT to make people see the 8800 are still the best and to maintain their sales, a 8900 may kill it.
Its not common sense, its YOUR sense, its YOUR opinion, it does not make it true, or fact.
The GT will outperform the 640, it will not the new 640GTS version coming out.. sometime, but it will the current one.
Oh, and they might even replace the whole series with new cores, just to keep the 8800 Series king.
I do not consider this benches as proof, but I do consider them as an option, you just throw away words as if they are facts with nothing at all to show to back it up ? Pigs can fly. but I dont need to prove it to you so I will not look for any site backing it up.

Speaking of price, while we don't have anything official we should see it retail for around $250USD / $350AUD depending on the brand and bundle.
While the package didn't do a whole lot for us, the overclock is nice and really seems to help make it that little bit better and extend its lead over everything else in the price bracket.
The bad news is that it's a real kick in the pants for people who have just recently bought an 8800GTS. While knowing that the GT was coming we run into the name problem again where people think that it's going to be slower. This is completely understandable as well with NVIDIA offering an 8600GT that is slower than the 8600GTS."
