No I do not believe any PS2 games are on the PS Store. I haven't noticed a single one, at least on the North American PS Store, that is. If you don't have a PS2, it won't set you back too far. $99 brand new or buy a used one for $50 or less. Won't hurt the bank too bad.

LovePotionNo9

Yeah I'm considering buying one on ebay if I can find one for dirt cheap. Otherwise I don't think it would be worth it to only play a couple games once or twice more.

Are there any plans to put these games into a greatest hits collection on blu-ray discs or something like that?

[QUOTE="lordfalsus"]

not to be rude but i find it weird that some one with a launch system woudnt know that ps2 games are not available on psn... have you ever even been on psn?

Limp_Laky

He never had to know because all of his old ps2 games worked on his original system.

Word.

Anyways that sucks. I was just about to replay both Kingdom Hearts as soon as I got done with Red Dead (which I only needed 1.5% to complete to 100% - of course i didn't back anything up) when I got the YLOD.

also if anyone's interested sony is offering a pretty sweet deal where if you have an original 60 gb ps3 you can trade it in for a 120 gb ps3 for only $150 (after shipping and handling). at least as far as i know it's only a 60 gb since that's what i had. it may have to be broken, too, i don't know.

What does Sony do if you send it in? Can they even fix it or do they just send you a refurb?

Oh and do any of the new ps3's have backwards compatibility? I have a bunch of ps2 games that I'd like to be able to use someday.

My ps3 got the YLOD recently and I don't mind having to buy a new one, but is there any way I can salvage my hard drive? If it weren't for Red Dead I wouldn't mind so much, but I only needed about 1.5% more to beat it to 100%.

Also, will I still have all my trophies and how do I go about getting them back? I have the same question about any games I downloaded from the PSN.

Thanks for any help!

Yeah I'm pretty sure it has something to do with premium content and having the free version. There's not much, outside of YouTube, that you can use from the internet for free then it seems. Unless I'm still missing something.
