@Senor_Kami like what? They removed things that civ4 added but that hardly qualifies as "series constants". I mean "gasp! They didn't add civ4's crappy and totally underwhelming religion system!" Isn't much of an argument for me. But.... haters gonna hate and notches gonna bitch I guess. I'm not saying there aren't plenty of thing to complain about in civ5. I'm just saying a few of those reasons are real.
Meh. TBH I think the recent rise in developers seeking funding through kickstart programs is a glimpse into the future. If you can cut out the middle men(aka. game producers) more money goes to the developer so they can maintain talent, create new technology, and find better more effective uses of current technology. I don't honestly see EA surviving another decade if that trend continues, The provide nothing and take far larger shares of the profit than they are deserving of. Just my two cents however.
WoW, like almost 99% of all MMO's, is far to generic to be at all remotely interesting. They water everything down to it's most basic form simply because if something requires thinking or a little bit of effort WoW's fanbase won't have anything to do with it. It's made for you to succeed. It's physically impossible for someone to be bad at WoW unless they have some sort of mental disability. I'll stick with EVE Online thanks very much.
