ASUS Corsair III Formula
AMD Phenome II X4 955 @ 3.21 Ghz
RAM: 4.00 GB
Vista Home Premium 64 bit
So I installed Ubuntu Linux on my secondary hard drive and when I restart my computer to do a dual boot between ubuntu and vista, my initial screen (the one that displays how to access the bios) hangs and my secondary hard drive is no longer recognized in My Computer, but it is in the device manager. Sometimes the screen that prompts you to choose which operating system to use shows up and sometimes it doesn't. It also seems that it takes longer to load vista. Also both of my cd/dvd drives are no longer recognized. Not even in the device manager. What's going on?
Thanks in advance,
So I turned on my computer the other day and by the looks of it, the computer didn't make the usual sounds it does when starting up. My monitor wasn't even receiving a signal. So I try to restart, but the computer doesn't even have the power of doing that either. So by this time the computer is running but there's no signal and not even a beep from the motherboard when I finally managed to turn the pc off. When I started it again for the second time, there was no change in the status of the computer, except that the power light of the front of the chasis blinks at the same time to light from the power supply blinks. I came to the conclusion that it was the powersupply at fault since I just recently fixed my computer and confirmed then that the video card, motherboard, cpu, and ram were running perfectly and that dust couldn't be a factor either.
With that said, would it be reasonable to suspect the power supply as the problem?
those look pretty good to me, but does it matter that the memory standard for the board is 1200 when my ram is at 800? I have mixed RAM too. For example, I have a gig of G.skill, 2X 512mb of Kingston, and 512 MB of some other RAM.
As the topic title states, I think my board fried and I need a board to at least match the specifications of the MSI P6n Platinum LGA 775 DDR2 800 MB. Anyway is there really much a difference between boards that have the same specifications? I guess what I mean..is it better to go with an ASUS board over and MSI and is there a significant performance gain for choosing one over another like there is with ram or processors?
I'm looking to spend up to 150 dollars and I want one that is very reliable and user friendly when it comes to installation.
My specs are on my sig, but just in case:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6420
G.Skill RAM 2.5 gb DDR2
EVGA Nvidia 8800 GTS
and i think the rest of the components should naturally be supported as long as the board supports the above components.
Thanks in advance I appreciate any help or advice!!! :D
very true but "Following the last leg of the tour promoting Stadium Arcadium, the band members have been on a break. Kiedis attributes this to the band being worn out from their years of nonstop work since Californication. Kiedis explained that he is currently preoccupied with taking care of his new son and possibly creating a short television series called "Spider and Son" which is set to be a recap of his autobiography, while Flea is experimenting with new musical ideas, Frusciante is continuing his solo career, and Chad Smith is currently working with Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, and Michael Anthony in the supergroup Chickenfoot. The band plans to remain on hiatus for "a minimum of one year." The band's newest recording was in 2008 with George Clinton (who also produced 1985's Freaky Styley) on his latest album "George Clinton and His Gangsters of Love". Accompanied by Kim Manning, the band recorded a new version of Shirley and Lee's classic "Let the Good Times Roll".
Three members of the band (Kiedis, Flea, and Smith) performed at the fifth annual MusiCares event honoring Kiedis on May 8, 2009. He was honored with the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award for his dedication and support of the MusiCares MAP Fund and for his commitment to helping other addicts with the addiction and recovery process. John Frusciante was unable to attend due to commitments in Europe at the time.
Drummer Chad Smith has recently stated that the band plans on gathering at the studio in the coming months to work on new material. Although Anthony Kiedis says the same, the September-October deadline may be pushed back due to guitarist John Frusciante, who has been quoted as saying he has no immediate plans to return.[citation needed] In July 2009, Frusciante denied rumours that he has left the band."
