[QUOTE="Jacobistheman"][QUOTE="metal_snake33"]I had to hurry home to be on time tonight, and i at one point i was going around 90. i was basically over 70 the whole way home. I usually never drive like this, but i was just wondering since i recently got new tires and when i got out of my car it smelled like burnt rubber or something really weird...i havent driven my car over 80 before, so i was just curious....MontayaI think the burnt smell is from the serpentine belt and the other rubber/plastic components becoming hot because the engine is working harder. It does ware down the vehicle more depending on the rpms and if the car isnt maintained properly and/or is old it can cause severe damage to the car. Just stay away from the red range on your RPM gauge and the vehicle should be fine.
Alright cool man thanks for the info. I hope everything is ok tomorrow morning. But it is an 2001...is that considered old for cars?
