$5000 pc's? upgrades every two years? apparently someone hasn't actually played around with pc's these days. either that, or you are a mac user and assume that the payscale for apple products is the same for pc products. I managed to buy my pc for $300 and with a few minor upgrades (RAM, an extra hard drive, an extra screen, etc) and I still haven't pulled over $1000 for it yet. And seriously, you don't need to stay on the bleeding edge to enjoy your games. Hell, Spore runs on my mom's computer and she bought that dinosaur in 2000 and she hasn't made an upgrade to it yet.
