@meister61: I've spent less money on SC than Mass Effect. Guess which I've spent 500+ hours in, and only about 20 in the other?

@ynfive: It's become much better and more stable this year. I play every day and haven't suffered a crash for over a week (for SC, that is saying something). Netcode is improving too. But 3.0 will be almost a different game. I'd seriously recommend coming back for that in the summer.

@naomha1: Yes. You will. I mean, Jesus H Christ - 3.0 is in June and will be more than and enough to tide you over for a while. 2018 will see Squadron 42 and the full persistent universe complete with capital ships. 2019 - full game finished and development continues on expansion.

"no game to zip around in" - I do a lot of zipping around in SC, thank you very much.

"We backed Star Citizen, space shooter. Period." Alright, calm down Mr Spicer. In fact, I'd say the vast, vast majority of backers signed on long after the initial and limited kickstarter. And even then, it was very clearly stated that things could expand. How could they ever have anticipated the amount of interest/funding they'd receive?? Frankly, I'm delighted they decided to say 'no, that isn't enough. We're going to do something never ever seen before'. That is what is to be human. I'm tired of the same shitty franchise year and year. I'm tired of unfinished, linear, limited shit like Elite Dangerous (and that is what you would have got, by the way, if they had just released with limited ambition).

@BlackBaldwin: I know. Those 500 hours I've already put in and enjoyed... Bastards. I paid 60 euros for 500 hours! It just isn't good enough. Where's the value for money??

In all seriousness - I paid more for Mass Effect. I played it about 20 hours the considered smashing up the disk as vengeance for humanity. And yet I don't see you all commenting on their articles crying over 'vaporware'.

@CptJohnnyRico: Indeed they will... It's sad. They think they're the prudent intelligent ones. And yet have never researched the project at all, never read any of the detailed reports we all get or watched any of the hundreds of hours of videos they put out. I guess it's just pure jealousy? But I don't know why... because everyone is welcome and invited!

@Daelusca: you realise that we do not individually spend 'millions'? I spent about 60. I've already put more than 500 hours into the game. AND IT ISN'T EVEN RELEASED. And may I say that it's been a ton of fun and I've met some really awesome people while flying around.

@slickr: It's a bit silly to say 'never' isn't it? As soon as you say that word, why should anyone read any further? People just don't seem to get it... They will not 'scale down', and we the backers do not want them to 'scale down'. We want them to do everything they've said and are working on. And if that takes until 2020 to get perfect? So be it.

How cna they set a firm release date for a game which they said, and we hope, will never truly be finished but constantly expanded upon? Put it this way - by the end of this year, providing Squadron 42 is near completion, we will already have more content than the initial kickstarter asked for. And that will be barely half of what is to come. So why complain?

@Cetra79: Those are some very realistic vapours I've just been playing online. Also... do you think it must be hard for 350 highly-trained developers to sit around doing nothing all day and cover that up? I'd say it's a challenge.

I'd be happier if they improved the servers and stopped the constant rubberbanding, especially on the new maps... Unplayable at times.

There are so many other problems besides the obvious bugs.. It just isn't intuitive in any way. For one example out of many - having to click two times to get to the map is seriously bad design choice.

The journal is as poorly laid out as ever. Why can't we track more than one mission at a time also?

The ability to order squadmates to specific points is very badly done. They usually end up in completely the wrong place, or go to the right one and then run away somewhere else.

And on, and on, and on I could go... but that's a list I'm making specifically for EA. Point is - this game was clearly not only not polished properly, but judging by the PS4 quality, a lot of the textures are still placeholders (at least that's what I hope...). Then there's the universe... fly over there, click X, get some resources (some, never a lot), that's that solar system dealt and to never ever return. Seriously, at least 85% of the systems are either empty or just contain one resource anomaly.
