@Reddevil66666: The problem for me is that, completely contrary to the reviewer, the AI does declare war arbitrarily. I played yesterday on Pangaea and Germany, on the other side of a Large map, just randomly declared war on me, as well as Spain. I'd done nothing to annoy them, and it took about 30 turns for their armies to eventually get to me.

So yeah, the AI is, as always, a bit dumb out of the box. Let's give it a few patches, because other than that the game is just excellent. Thermonuclear weapons solve all arguments!

I really can't be bothered to say anything other than the game definitely deserves better than a 6, just for what it gets right. Yes, there are problems... but the reviewer seems to be momentarily forgetting about other games' problems.

Quite frankly I'm just aghast that something like NMS can get a 7, and this a 6. I'm referencing NMS because it was the last thing I bought, and I'd returned it within 4 days and only 6 hours of play. I've played Mafia 3 for at least 30 hours now, and it's just fun... Some of the missions are repetitive, so just skip them and just go for the story, it's more than long enough to justify the game.

Is the PC version so different from the PS4? Because the Steam ratings do not match my experience of the game whatsoever... It's absolutely wonderful - one of the most well-thought-out and detailed games I've come across. And so beautiful. (yes, there are lighting issues even on PS4, but those can be ironed out easily enough over the coming weeks)

Favourite random moment so far - Walking on the street, 3 black women having a conversation, a police car stops beside at a red light and the officer leans out the window and calls - "Hey chocolate pudding!" I know some people won't appreciate that level of realism, but I keep finding it, and it's so impressive. Just a beautiful world. I'm guess I'm glad I neglected my PC this time round.

Finally... a good in-depth article about a game. This must be a first for the year so far.

No mention of its new brother World of Warships, though! Or the competition in the form of War Thunder, which is pretty decent too. It's weird because I prefer World of Warships... yet I'm much more fascinated by tanks :-/ Anyway, the games are very well designed, and at least they're upfront and honest about stuff.

"will make sense when you know the plot"...? I don't think he's quite grasped the idea of 'plots'. This was clearly written with a mind to getting Karen Gillan into as little clothes as possible. That photo couldn't be a bigger stereotype... look, they even have a frightened black guy carrying all the bags. Check, check, and check.

@helldragonzer: At this point, I'd be happy if NMS just fixed their game-breaking bugs. Can't even count how many times I've had to revert saves and lost so much shit.... And also, yes, it does get mighty boring after a while. Mine. Mine. Mine. Mine. Mine. Mine.

@exsulator2: But that's the really cool thing - they've built their own technology that allows them to create a massive skeleton, then simply fill in the detailed parts. Once they have it perfected, they'll be able to pump out detailed planets like it's nobody's business. The reason people don't believe it is simply because nobody has ever done this before. But there's always a first!

That bit at the beginning of the 'article' trying to relate Snoop Dogg and gaming (as if to give some kind of point to this tripe) is one of the worst and most unnaturally shoe-horned pieces of journalism... I mean, come on Eddie, haven't you had time to go to journalism classes yet?

@xXxKTTxXx: Huh. Works fine for me. Are you sure you didn't mean to post on one of the Arkham games' articles?
