I 100% support the used game market and will continue to do so. I picked up a used copy of Brink for $38, and while it's a fun game there is no way I would have spent 60$ for it. The other factor is that the used game market demands companies to produce high quality products. If a game comes out and receives low to mediocre scores or is burdened with technical problems, people aren't going to rush out and pick it up for full price, they will pick it up used or at discount prices which then causes the price of a new copy of the game to be reduced faster. However high quality games will hold their value even as a used copies show up on shelves. I think that over all the used game market is a good thing because it demands publishers to produce high quality games if they want to receive the highest return instead of throwing a half finished product on a shelf and demand a set amount to purchase.
I was about to buy this game but after reading the reviews and the technical issues present I'm going to wait. I also was told by a Gamestop employee that this game has low sales attention and preorders so I'd be willing to bet it drops in price pretty quick. I'll check it out used.
