micr21's forum posts
I was playing co-op with this ghetto guy on GeOW on insane. he was an absolute beast with the torque bow, and he would do the most insane things that would get anyone else killed in a second. he would just run up to dudes and bash em in the face til they died. ok, now for the funniest thing: when he would stay back with his torque, he would just say "DO YOU SEE THAT GUY!? WHAT IS HE DOING? I MEAN SERIOUSLY, WHAT IS THIS GUY DOIN?? *kills him* Seriously man what was that guy doing..." He did that with practically EVERY GUY he killed and i'm sitting there with my mic on mute so he doesnt hear me hysterically laughing. then i sent him a friend request lol.Pwnager
What was his gamertag?
The World doesn't already know that Microsoft are having massive issues with faulty consoles???shawn7324
Did I ask for the sarcasm? No. Im just trying to ask a serious question here.
What would we seek out of this lawsuit??shawn7324
I would really just want the world to know the truth about the system and maybe M$ pay for the court fees.
Would you join the suit? I most likely would because when u have one system for a 16 months and another for 3 months and it breakes something has to be wrong. I love the 360 but if it came down to legal action I wouldnt be afraid to step up to the plate.
Check out this thread if you don't believe the 360 has faulty hardware: http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=25717419
I posted this site on another post. Good thing you made a whole post for it, so people can have a good idea about why 360s are failing. I hope you get this new heatsink. Hopefully it will reduce the failure rates significantly. I agree that there should be a recall. Everyone and anyone should be allowed to send in their 360 for this new heatsink.jay_k3
Ha ha I got it from that but I thought it should be in the main part of the forum. Thanks.

Xbox 360 Failures Explained
In response to the recent Mercury News interview, a man who has had 8 consoles fail so far explains what he believes the issue with the hardware is.
His explanation can be found in the responses to the recent interview with Microsoft's Todd Holmdahl.
... the problem isn't just with launch units. Of the 8 I've had so far, only 2 were manufactured in the first three months of launch. The last one I had red-ring on me was manufactured in November of '06 - a full year after launch.
The problem is that the cooling design of the 360 doesn't hold up. The cooling of the CPU was well done, with a heat pipe to draw the heat away from the chip (and accordingly, away from the mainboard). The problem is that the GPU and its low-profile heatsink sit under the DVD drive, and are given a very narrow channel for air to be pulled acrosss the heatsink by the fans. When the GPU heats up enough, not only does it reflow the solder in the ball grid array slightly, it can cause the entire mainboard to flex - a phenomenon largely caused by the X-shaped brackets that hold the heatsinks on under the mainboard. They hold the heatsinks down to the chips with a tension fit that presses up directly underneath those chips.
So when the system gets too hot, the combination of loosened solder with a mainboard that flexes from heat causes the GPU or CPU to actually break its connection from the board - resulting in the 3 red lights and secondary error code 0102 (the "unknown hardware error" code).
This is true of ALL systems manufactured thus far, not just the launch systems. Hopefully, Microsoft's new measure of adding a heatpipe to the GPU heatsink will reduce the heat on the mainboard itself enough to keep this from happening. We shall see.

This makes me very dissapointed in the hardware. Microsoft should fix this immediently.
