Their new Raid for the next patch is Zul'Gurub. Yup, they are resuing old stuff to try to add new content since the end-game has barely any.

Also this seasonPVP arenas are the most unbalanced of all times. The new hero class is the Frost Mage, unless you row that every arena match lasts a minimum of 30 minutes (2v2). Hunter sucks as always.

i was thinking of probs rolling mage or lock... thats too bad to hear about huntards. i had a hunter from vanilla through bc back when they were gods. ~35 days on that main alone

Be a druid of whatever race. Druids can tank, heal, melee, and range dps well. Ss no matter what you like a druid can do it.i5750at4Ghz

I had an 80 boomkin/resto on the old account. so i think that's the one race i'd wanna skip this time ha.

How are mages/locks looking?

I'm sick of SC2. I need a new game to move on to.

I, like oh so many, am one of those on and off every 6 months WoW players and it's getting to be that time of year.

I'm starting off anew, as my last account got ulti-hacked. What class/race should i go with this time around? I'd love to get some input from current players on whether any classes have gotten nerfed huge or are currently op. id mostly pvp at 85. Thanks!

Well so far I'm liking the game but my laptop isn't the greatest when it comes to it so my performance is bad. But I'm looking forward to upgrading my desktop so I can take it with me to college and play on it a lot.Sweetbackhair

L4D2 is actually a really forgiving game when it comes to graphics demands. you should check out the recommended req's and see if it would run

i run it on my laptop with an iffy graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce GT 320M) and it runs slick as tetris

It seems there is a good sizepopulation, but I'm done with WoW-style MMOs for right now. I played WoW off and on for 4 years (like many others). At a certain point, you just get bored of that sort of gameplay even though it's just as good as before. There's nothing really wrong with Rift. Just not enough new for me to buy and spend months building up a character.

I'm waiting for a good Sci-Fi MMOor a good Diablo-style MMO. Sci-fi is relatively unexplored probably due to the large scope of having multiple planets and space, but developers don't have to go that far in the future. Something on Earth with laser weapons and other futuristic stuff would be pretty fun. Maybe Titan will be sci-fi. Then there's the hack'n'slash MMO. Ever since having a blast with Diablo 2 I've been waiting for an MMO in that style, a simple to play game with focus on random lootthat fixes the problems Diablo 2 had. Main problems were gold was useless, bosses had too high drop rates relative to their strength compared to random monsters, classes were not balanced (gear dependancy, magic find ability), skills were not balanced (early skills became obsolete).Maybe the Torchlight MMO will be finally fill that niche.

So it sounds like Rift is sorta a filler? As in comparable to AoC or Warhammer Oline, if I'm reading most of this right. As in a good game, but not something hugely changing... just more of the same under a different name.

Disappointing... and yea if my graphics aren't gonna be fully up to par I don't really feel like jumping in to it. Maybe I'll just get back into WoW lol. Or keep playing SC2 which is getting more boring by the day for some reason.

it depends on what race you play. there's no surefire tactic just different strats.

i play zerg and i will usually roach rush or early expo after scouting. keeping toss from teching is important, as colossi/templars + anything can be pretty tough to bring down as zerg.

So I'm looking at buying Rift, but based on the reviews I've seen around here it sounds kind of like a cookie cutter MMORPG. I was a long time player of WoW, but would rather get back into a game that hasn't claimed a portion of my soul. So what do people who have played or are playing Rift think of it? Can you compare it to any other games or is it unique to itself?

Other things I want to know is:

-are enough people playing it right now to make the game function like the developers intended

-is the game continuous without loading points between zones? (excluding dungeons, but like in WoW how you never hit a load point in Azeroth)

-how intensive are the graphics?

- on that note, how would my laptop run on this game? Here are my specs:

Intel Core i7, 1.6 GHz, 4GB memory, NVIDIA GeForce GT 320M 1024MB. i have an HP dv7 laptop

Thanks all!
