I love my PS3 and have always firmly believed it is the superior console.

Recently, I have really been enjoying FPS games. (Usually play action/adventure category)

I am pumped for COD6 MW2 just as much as the next person, however here is my dilema.

I am in college and a couple of my close friends have a PS3, in total I have about 8 PSN friends. But since all my friends are now in college (like me) they are busy, as am I. And I haven't been able to catch them online and vice versa.

I'm a proponent of gaming online/offline with friends versus solo sessions, and I think if you are able to play with your friends vs. idiot noobs the game itself is more enjoyable. And thats something I really want to do with MW2. And currently I would have another 5 close long time friends who are advid, and more importantly - frequent gamers, if I were to play on XBL instead of PSN.

I have a younger brother who wants his own console, and I could easily get the 360 for a good long while. And as much as I hate to admit it, paying the 50 bucks for XBL (which is a huge **** monopolistic rip-off) creates a more active online community than PSN. And PSN has no unifying online game (sorry kids, Killzone 2 failed to reach a significant portion of PS3 owners, if I recall there are 1.4 million active online accounts, and less that play weekly..) Where XBL has monsters like GoW, Halo, and MW.. which means more n00bs for me to rape.

So my question is.. Do you think its worth going through all that trouble to enjoy what will most likely be the biggest game of our generation with my friends on XBL...

On top of that, I hate the DS3, and if you disagree, you are in denial. Seriously, I mean, I love the charging and the weight. But those triggers, and the resistance of those analong sticks are just plain horrible. Then again, Xbox controller is like holding a brick that takes duracell.. but it is a better FPS controller.

FPS is not my first choice of genre. I enjoy games that give you the whole experience, story, connection, gameplay, graphics etc. FPS don't always provide that, but I do enjoy the occasional pwn fest. I own a PS3, but am not a fanboy. I borrowed Killzone 2 for a week or two from my friend after it first launched.

I played the story mode, played online until the General Rank (before the update.) A couple of months later, I had some extra cash and finally bought the game. And I finally immersed myself in the experience. I was able to reach the new two star rank..unlock all the badges (except mission specific badges) and achieve the Valor Grand Cross (Top 1% of players.)

And I had a good time. At this point, I'm so attached I feel like I NEED to achieve commander and chief (100000points) beforeger COD6 comes out. But OVER AND OVER again I find myself hindered by Killzone's team based gameplay.

Playing matches on maps like Blood Gracht or Visari Hammer or PRise its not a problem, but on maps like Tharsis, Radec, and Cornith. It's quite possibly the worst gaming experience. I'm 18.. go to college.. play only on the weekends. And I see these idiots over and over again ruining our teams chances of winning... if you play or don't play killzone, here are some examples...

Throwing spawn points in the middle of nowhere, or in that damn tunnel under Radec Academy.

Throwing spawn points in enemy bases, or in areas where they can easily spawn camp.

NOT THROWING SPAWN POINTS WHEN BEING BASE RAIDED!

Planting bots in side our own base.

Planting bots in long forgotten rooms where NOBODY EVER GOES.

Trying to fight off base raids by staying in the base..

Never taking alternate exits outs.

Being a medic and reviving people RIGHT NEXT TO ENEMIES.

Never shooting down bots.

Trying to hard to be a good sniper when they clearly are not.

Throwing prox mines in areas where grenade throws are abundant.

Getting in the way of ur grenades or your shots.

(AT THIS POINT, IF YOU DON'T EMPATHIZE/SYMPATHIZE... this will bore you to death).

Okay! Look.. in radec academy... when your home base is the one with the tank.. ISA I think. Every game people try to shoot you through the front exit (in that room with the tall storage shelves and the stairs on the side.) And the entire game people try to throw grenades out that door or try to strafe across and shoot. While your in the back as a sniper or a rifleman KNOWING it takes only one guy to check that door while your other team could flank them and rape them. However people STAY IN THAT ROOM trying to shoot. And it's so infuriating!

Im not the best player. But I know what I'm doing.. I always try to throw good SAFE spawn points. Im constantly planting bots. And I can't remember the last time I had a negative kill to death ratio in a game. But i'm only one man. Killzone 2 is an amazing game it is..

but here is my problem. The makers assumed people were smart. The fact is, EVERYONE IS A **** DUMBASS. AND ITS **** RIDICULOUS. You do not want your score dependent on some 12 year old douche bag trying to shotgun on PRise.. and you don't wanna play against skilless rocket launcher abusers. You can claim that Killzone 2 is a tactical game.. its not. its a cluster **** an absolute chaotic cluster **** AND IDC how good you are. The fact is. when your team is bad. it hurts your performance. You can't play how you normally play in certain situations. I don't play with a clan, but I always try to squad up.

And the fact is. You can only really enjoy this game if your playing with friends or a clan. But you'll be so frustrated sometimes its just... gah. AND THE LAG.. OMG THE KILL LAG! I can't tell you the number of times its cost me a kill because I was unsure the guy was dead. If i stop shooting he might get me, if I keep shooting someone else will get me! And im familiar enough with the mechanics of the game to time it just right but not always...

AND THE SHOTGUN! ooo the ridiculous range of that **** shotgun! ITS UNBELIEVABLE SOMETIMES.

Next HUGE flaw with Killzone. BASE RAIDING. I don't care if im doing it. or if its being done to me. ITS not how the game should work. They should have made the bases safer. Given them all ammo crates. Made the base bots super strong and indestructible. That way when they are rushing in on radec. they don't make it through. If not that. Limit the Spawn Points.. instead of a time limit. Make it five players to spawn there and then it goes away. Or make only squad based spawning. Or make certain areas off limits. IDK!

Okay... I need to stop. I'm not bad at the game.. I'm not. My best is 66-22 on Tharsis (20 min 16 player bodycount). My best pistols only is 51 - 18 on Radec. Killstreak of 18. KDR of just under two. Hundred hours online. 33000 points at the moment or so. Most badges... and the honor ranks..

Do you guys sometimes feel the same way? Is killzone 2 multiplayer REALLY that impressive.. the fact is. I played COD4 today for the first time in months and months. and I loved it. Team barely makes a difference if your skilled enough. (I KNOW THAT APPLIES IN KILLZONE ALSO! BUT NOT AS MUCH, IT DOESN'T)

*I apologize for spelling errors. Its about 4 am. I just logged off PSN. I was literally put on a team where everyone had a negative KDR. There were two spawn points in our base. and I spawned to my death three times before quitting. OH and Killzone 2s balancing SUCKS BALLS. They should incorporate peoples stats into faction balancing. NOT just random assignments. AND PUNISH PEOPLE FOR QUITTING.

GODDAMNIT. again sorry for spelling or other crap. Im not proof reading. If you wanna be a douche and find mistakes and point them out fine. But chances are.. i'm smarter than you. And that helps me sleep at night. oh and btw. If your someone who always plays as assault and does the get kills get killed thing. OVER AND OVER. There is a place reserved for you in hell. Right next to prone campers in COD4.
