It's not just kane and lynch. Now pp know someone will pay for a review of a bad game to stay put til pp already bought it. And somehow pp wonder If the reviewers were put under pressure to make it easier for games that were so so to get an 8 or 9. That, pp will never know.
What happened to this site. For years gamers trusted this site for their reviews, now all they can get is some sort of advertising campaign: if the game is good, bring up the review as soon as possible, if the game was bad, hide it til every fool f-king bought it. And if the game was real bad and some guy speak it out loud, kill him. I got the feeling this is the end for GS. Where is their conscience? And where the hell did this Josh come from anyway?
This on Kotaku "Over the last year there has been an increasing amount of pressure to allow the advertising teams to have more of a say in the editorial process; we've started having to give our sales team heads-ups when a game is getting a low score, for instance, so that they can let the advertisers know that before a review goes up. Other publishers have started giving us notes involving when our reviews can go up; if a game's getting a 9 or above, it can go up early; if not, it'll have to wait until after the game is on the shelves." So sad.
