This was the very first game that made me go on an all-nighter, and which led me to sneak past my parents' bedroom well past my bedtime to play on the PC in the living room.

It taught me to nurture extreme love for my characters (that's you Gorath, you burly, bearded, marshmallow-for-a-heart...moredhel) and extreme hate for my characters (I'm looking at you, can't-hit-a-tree-if-my-life-depended-on-it James).

This game turned me into the nerd I am today. Thank you Betrayal at Krondor, and thank you abandonware (and DOSbox) for making it possible for me to experience this great game once again.
