@gamingdevil800: Spoilers? I mentioned no names, no details. I gave a general overview of the plot. It's like saying Star Wars is about the battle against the empire. Didn't tell you who Vader was, who the emperor was, or anything of any of the characters.
I liked this anime until I got to the end and started reading the manga. I realized a lot about the anime then. I thought anyone could die at any moment but I realized they were all characters made only to die. The manga plot started to all but forget about the titans. It became all about a secret government conspiracy. Oh noes. So original. I much preferred the story of mankind fighting against extinction. Why did it have to turn into generic bad human vs good human thing? Even in fiction mankind can't work together.
I can't see an Avatar sequel being as successful as the original. What people really liked about the original was the 3D, not really the story. Lot's of movies have used 3D now and I don't know about others but I'm not that impressed by it anymore.
@computernoises: I blame the consumers really. Nobody wants to hear it but as long as people pay to see these movies they don't have to try and make a new story.
@restatbonfire: Every console before the Wii was about updated graphics. The SNES was amazing compared to the NES. The N64 was a huge revolution in gameplay that made it very popular. Gamecube was not very impressive which is why it did not sell as well as other consoles. The Wii is where they tried to go in a different direction.
@rglgathrawn: Who said anything about that? Nintendo is the leader in handhelds and they are still popular, and less expensive then the switch which has limited games at the moment.
