@blue_shift_91 Why does it matter that it was useless in the first few years of the ps3 lifespan in terms of games? Sony would have had to think in the long run since they expected a 10 year console cycle and it's not like they could use a DVD drive initially then switch to a blu-ray drive later on. Also, how can you say it's not been utilised when massive games such as Uncharted 3, TLOU, etc. would have been held back and FF13 is proof enough of why going with blu-ray was a good move.
