Well my PS3 suffered from the blinking red light after playing games, it only does it on some though, like MGS4, LBP, COD5 and COD4 and it takes less the 5 minutes to cut out, but it will play some just fine for hours, like R2, Fallout 3 and AC, Which the manual states the red light flashing mean that it is over heating,

So I called sony and had it warrentied. Which was a pleasent experence. I had a box the next day and it was back in 5 days. Any ways when i got it back I read the report paper and it said it was perfectly fine, Well long story short is that it still does it. Only thing is that it is now out of warranty, It expired while it was at Sony. I'm not sure what to do, I dont want to pay for repairs since they didn't fix it the first time.

We'll my ps3 seems to have an issue

I pop in a blu-ray video, play perfectly for 10 mins and them bam! shuts off adn the system light blinks red, It doesn't seem to do it playing games, but ive only played FF12 for a while and no isses, and overheating seems out of the question, since when if first did it it was out in theopen with nothing around, adn after it did it once i opened the window and put it right agaisnt the screen, and I live in canada, its not warm out yet, Any ideas? I bought it December 2007. so Its still under warranty.

I hope so too, but i read some where that around 30,000 PS3's are hooked up and make up 11% of total system linked up but make up over 68% of the totalprocessing power, some 220 tflops or something.

If you read all the old info on the PS3 liek backin 2005 or so they said it would happen were a user could simply upload the ps1 game to the ps3 then it would convert it and then upload to ur PSP.  The same thing happened with the new update up converting,  sony said Cell could handle converting SD to HD and be able to do everythign else.  Everyone told me it couldnt since  it did not have a scaler chip,  but it turns out I was right.....

I see that GT4 can be imputed into 1080i  i have a 1080P tv set. with componet cables  I can switch it and all but it when i do it does switch to 1080i Tv says so, then after it asks if this is alright,  i select ok which should keep displaying  in 1080i,  but it cuts it down to 480i Tv say so,  It comes up and tells you the imput resolution.    Does anybody know why,  the Tv is a 42 inch Sharp Aquos LCD.

Well I just purchased a 42 inch Sharp Aquos LCD, and we'll i tried hooking my PS2 up to it, the normal yellow Red and white conections worked fine,  then the optical cable worked perfectly,  Then I realized Gran Turismo 4 can be played in 1080i But it needs the componet cable, so I ran out and got one,  Hooked her up and   everything is pink and kicks in and out, like the picture is there some times, in pink mine you, then its gone.  Also its not positioned in the proper place like its mover over 1/5 of  the screen theres a black bar on the left,  Any Ideas or  is my Cable messed? or is it the TV or the PS2,  Also In gt4 i can change it to 1080i and  the Tv reconizes that it has changed but then it kicks it down to 480i.
