God Of War III

I never thought in my whole life that I would be that excited over a video game. I remember I wasn't so excited about anything since I was 17 when I got my first computer, now I am 28. I went to the midnight release, took the day off of work, and played GOW III for 8 hours in a row, only a few breaks to eat and go to the bathroom. I just love that game, and I think that Santa Monica's studios did a great job with it.

Although the game is great, it is definitelynot as good as GOW I or GOW II. I mean yes, the graphics are great and story is awesome, but it just doesn't attach you to the game as much as the fist two games did. I still love it though. I say it must get Game Of The Year Award. That of course unless GOW IV comes out ;)

LittleBigPlanet is much better than I thought.

I remember renting this game about 4 or 5 months ago, I played only 30% of the levels, and returned it. I thought it was too childish and that I will never see it again, until my kid suggested that I buy it again. I don't know why it appealed to me that day, but it just did. I graped it and brought it home.

That was two weeks ago, I still play this game. Designing useless objects, playing story levels over and over, hooking up with random people, and playing user made levels has given me a joy i haven't seen in my whole life. I love this game, and I think will stick with it for a while.

What did you think about LittleBigPlanet ?

My dog fetches :)

I submitted about a month ago a thread complaining about how my dog, half lab and half german, would not fetch for me. It used to fetch for my step-kids, wife, or strangers for 3 or 4 times in a row but never for me. That was really frustrating for me, it made feel like I failed at training this dog especially that I am the one who took it upon myself to train that dog. I tought it how to shake hands, jump, walk on a leash go to the "bathroom" upon order, etc, but fetch has always been a pain for me.

Wife and kids left to Illinois to visit family and I was left with the dog for 3 weeks and I decided that it was the best time for me to work on it. After lots of treats, endless frustration, and tons of patience, I got he freakin dog to fetch. She now fetch from short or long distances, catches the ball from the air, and can do it for many many times.

The key to that was "graduality". I first got her to hold the ball in her mouth, and whenever she does that successfully I gave her a treat. That was harder than it sounds since she would drop the ball after like half a second to get her treat. After I got that done, it took me about 3 hours a day over 5 days, I started putting the ball on the floor, then she would pick it up and give me to me to get her treat. Again, that took me a while. But one day , i was on doing my business in the kitchen, she brought the ball to me on her own, I threw it away, and she brought it back I was so happy to see that. It seems like she finally understood what I wanted. I kept my cool and kept throwing the ball over small distances and gradually increasing until she started fetching from long distances.

I am very happy about that right now. The whole process took about 17 days of work, but I finally got it done

My thoughts of "inFamous"

It took me about 30 minutes to finish all 4 or 5 missions, which is pretty long comparing with other demos.

The game looks very promising, controls look very smooth, the main character looks like a badass, and the story line seems very catchy. My only problem with the infamous was the enemies, they can pop out from anywhere at any time, and they keep shooting the crap out of you until you figure out where they were.

The good about Infamous was that climbing and sliding made very easy, you don't need to be so precise about where you jump to hold on to the nearest pilar or pole. Also the shooting mechanism does not need constant recharging. You consume your electric charge only when you throw the electrical bombs thingys. Regular shots do not consume anything. You only recharge when you need to speed up the regeneration process. What got my attention the most was the effects. Electricity running through objects, opponents, and trains is unbelievably awesome. Not mentioning the destructible objects, which are pretty much all over the place.

My only take on Infamous is that they made it so difficult to locate enemies. You can see them on the map, but you don't know how high or low they are especially if you were surrounded by multiple enemies. I think it needs some getting used to.

Other than that the game was absolutely awesome. I played through it twice already and I am gonna go through it for the third time tomorrow. It is one of the best open world games I've ever seen. Again, unless there are bad surprises, the game should get at about 8.5/10 in my opinion.

I created an account of twitter. My twitter user name is Mithrixx.

I was too lazy to change the game disc..

So I played the same game over and over for 5 days. Does that make me a bad person ?

I took 4 days vacation from work, and played Resistance 2 and RE5 the whole time. It was fun being so lazy, but it got old very quickly. And because I stayed away from GS, I didn't realise that I missed the L4D DLC. I can't wait to go home and try it.

Resistance 2 and RE5 are going to take a long while to get old for me. Especially with R2's the new coopretive MP mode, it is so much fun. It reminds me a lot of World Of Warcraft. PS3 is so worth the money :D

Dubai..

I was born and raised UAE. When I was 10, all what I remember about Dubai was Rashid Tower, which was the highest building in the whole country. Ten years after that things have changed dramatically from a boring desert into a huge investment firm. Investors from all over the world came to Dubai to invest with the economic and housing boom that occurred. Needless to say, after the recession things don't look as well since people are losing their jobs and eventually leaving the coutry.

Here are some pictures from Dubai.

Burj Al Arab. Looks much better in person

Emirates Towers. Used to work here :)

Well, I left UAE even before the recession. I now live in USA and married to a great wife. we used to live in Illinois but 2 years ago we moved to Arizona.

Looking for Arab player to play Xbox 360 or PS3 with...

This may sound silly, but it has been a while since I played with someone who speaks my language. Please let me know if you are intersted. My gamer tag on Xbox is: Mithroi, on PS3: Mithrex.

if you are not an Arab, and still looking for someone to play online with, please let me know.

Thanks

Resident Evil 5 Rocks

I can't remember the last time I played a game and got attached to it that much. I already finished the game for 3 times, total of 22 hours, I still find more things to do. I played mercenaries mode a lot to unlock new levels and characters, and now I find my self so attached to the verses mode. The makers of RE5 did a great job no doubt.

It is worth mentioning that, once again, I am very disappointed with capcom. The verses mode was sold for 400 points for only 1.5 mbs download. Which tells me that the verses mode was already with the game and yet had to pay for it. I hope capcom and is going to rethink that policy in the future.
