Online Wii Games

As a couple 360 and PS3 online titles are becoming great for multiplayer like Gears Of War, Rainbow Six Vegas, and possibly Resistance Fall of Man. However, many people know already Nintendo is getting a late start for it's online Wii games. Though hopefully, we can start playing some online Wii games as early as possible in 2007. What kinds of online games people can play for Wii next year? And what do others want online for certain games?

Everyone knows by now that Pokemon Battle Revolution is the first Wii game to be Wi-Fi compatible. However, a couple other titles have also been announced for online play: Batallion Wars 2, Mario Strikers Charged, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and possibly others recently announced on reliable and unreliable sources on the internet. Some people are questioning how Nintendo's WFC will work out on the Wii. Others are hoping to have online Wii games more in-depht like in-game chatting for example, or more players playing at the same time. Nintendo not too long ago announced it "might possibly" have a little headset for online play very similar to the Xbox Live headset.

Let's talk about one of the online games set for 2007. Batallion Wars 2 was recently showcased at the German Games Convention at Leipzig, Germany obviously. The original Batallion Wars for the Gamecube was great and turned to be a cult classic. Batallion Wars 2 gives that same innovative feeling with extensive features added. I'm really looking forward to this myself. Hopefully it will be a success.

Mario Strikers Charged is another online game. For those who have played the previous installment on the Gamecube understand if they're feeling doubt about the sequel. Charged has the similar gameplay from the previous one besides the fact of the control Wii remote and nunchuck controllers. You have more support characters and Bowser is actually a playable character this time. Each support player is assigned to positions based on their strengths. For example, if you pick Dry Bones, he would play as a defensive player. The previous one is pretty hectic when it comes to multiplayer and overall, this looks to be pretty decent.

I'm not really gonna talk about Smash Bros. Brawl, but hopefully the online capabilities for this game will be used at full advantage. Many people want Metroid Prime 3 Corruption for online multiplayer after the fun competitive addition of online multiplayer in Metroid Prime Hunters for the DS. Other than that, I think people are really looking forward to take their skills online on Wii next year. Until then, we'll be busy playing with the launch titles (Zelda mostly!).
