As I was saying price isn't a problem and for the most part it doesn't seem that pricey for its long term benifits. Also I am very eager to learn programs such as for example Java and C++ to create my own website. If you guys could post some links to some helpful info that would be appreciated.

I am aware this will take a long time to develope but i am still in high school therefore i am in no rush.

I am new to creating websites, infact as new as you can get. Anyways, how would you go about in creating a website? One that will include:

  • user profiles
  • IM
  • send emails and notifications to users

Price wouldn't be a problem. So I am also wondering how to aquire my own Domain without paying to a web hosting company.

any suggestions or comments would be appreciated!

I just installed windows 7 onto my new computer, but i have a problem. The computer glitches up. what i mean by this is that my computer will randomly black out, freeze the mouse, or both! My computer is up to date and has the latest drivers.

has anyone else had this problem or would you know the cause of it?

here is an interesting thing that would be helpful for htis topic.

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cpus/2010/07/05/how-many-cpu-cores-do-games-need/1

this should help you make the decision. also i have a core 2 duo but my mobo is capable of going to the quad cores. so if you have a mobo like mine it would be sensible in about 6 months- 1 year to upgrade.

this may be dumb but does your HDD have a power cable properly connected to it?

another thing could be try unplugging all other drives such as DVD, flashdrives, floppy, or card readers. all except the HDD and the SDD. then see if you can format it.

a problem i experience with flashdrives is that you need to assign the drive a different drive letter. for example it is made so it is always F or G. try giving it H or some other letter. cuz there can only be 1 of that letter.

try formating the HDD or assigning it a drive letter.

to do these. go into disk managment by right clicking on my computer/ manage/ then find disk managment. right click on your HDD and click on "format" or if you are trying to give it a different letter i believe you also have to click on it, go to properties and select a drive letter from somewhere in there.

i am going to build a new cheap rig but scrap some parts off my current rig and upgrade mine.

what i am looking for is:

  • Motherboard that is compatible with-
    -DDR2 800 or 1066
    -RAID 0
    -any quad core CPU support

  • RAM- DDR2 800 or 1066, 4GB
  • PSU-500W?

  • Case

these would be it. try to keep it less than $500. i will post some parts i found unless you guys find anything cheaper/better

or you could get more than one hard drive if your computer allows for it. this would be a better option as of speed, security, and organization.

i am having a similar problem. My computer boots but it doesn't go to the POST screen. it just freezes at the logo with no keyboard options and the keyboard doesn't work depending on RAM sticks i have in. Ram is probably another problem.

i haven't used my computer in a while but a couple months ago we had some power outages. idk if that would of caused anyting since i always turn it off when im not using it.

i have tried:

  • rotataing slots and memory
  • different SATA ports for HDD
  • let the CMOS battery die then try to boot again

im currently searching the manufactures FAQ but any help would be appreciated :)
