@nickgreeley: this game has been in developtment since they decided to move versus xiii over to the new generation of consoles, that decision was made MORE than four years ago. XV is still based on the story that nojima wrote for Versus XIII, only apologist spout this bs rhetoric that the game hasn't been in developtment for 10 years. Can we end this sob story for developers please, how many times do we have to give them the benefit of the doubt.

they should forget dlc, they need to prove the core game even exists as a final product first. It's like colin moriarty says, he'll believe this game even exists when its in his hand.

1. An elaborate event for the sept 30 release date, which tabata has had locked in for nearly a year. 3. World Of Wonder trailer came out only yesterday and date still says september 30th in description

4. No proof of these new marketing materials

5. marketing materials don't pre-empt announcements, if the release date has changed we'll know today or tommorow

6. They're at gamescom from the 17th, you think they'll let something like a delay overshadow the event

7. the game is under 2 months from release, what could've happened in the last 24 hours that would push it that much?

@Stebsis @lunchbox2042 totally agree, lightning returns wasnt even on my radar, I could not be asked to see this convoluted tale through to the end, I couldnt care about the characters or anything. They made three games because they royally screwed up the first game and even the second games was just filler. Let's not sugar coat it, the first game was awful. It was okay as a game in itself, but not a final fantasy game. Two just threw the baby out with the bathwater, it made no sense and was a patchwork of different areas that didn't flow organically. Lightning returns, what can I say...I never cared to play it. Let the XIII trilogy die now.

@Monsterkillah thah logic doesnt wash anymore, they announced that the 7th core has become free on the xbox one and DX12, as well as some extra GPU bandwidth. It's comparable to ps4, this console war wont be fought on hardware specs, theyve mentioned that the game will be the same across both consoles. The war will be fought on exclusives now.

@jbraden6075 @moinsyyed @Patohua1 My whole point with pointing out the fact games are multiplat is not to fuel console wars but to kind of remind people that something being multiplat has no bearing on the quality of the final game. If people end up loving final fantasy xv then it throws this whole, 'they compromised it being on more than one console' argument. If anything the new generation of consoles has help improve final fantasy xv, otherwise it would have been stuck as versus XIII and been a ps3 exclusive.

best thing about final fantasy xv so far? That your entire party have red soles on their shoes. Never realised such a small details could look so awesome!
