fallout 3: new vegas might hit your spot, though it is not a medieval RPG. fable 3 is not good imo. didn't like that game one bit which is a disappointing since i loved the first two fables.

other good titles

- Torchlight 2

- X-Com (Tactical RPG)

- Deus Ex: Human Revolution

- Mass Effect Series

to be honest, i am looking for a good single player RPG myself. the best thing i played lately was x-com and saints row III which is not an RPG.

SloveenEfsei

I second Torchlight 2, but I am assuming you haven't played the simpler, much cheaper Torchlight.  If you're the kind of person who likes first games before trying second versions, consider that.  My daughter didn't care for that and went on to TL2.  I am glad I played both, Torchlight one is almost the same except there is really no skill tree that I remember.  Mechanics are very similar and it is much shorter (2 hr play a day I was done in 30 days).

However, don't just take my word for it, look up a youtube video or something.  Torchlight 2 has a great beginning cut-scene that will show you in a nutshell where you stand, will give you an idea how you got there.  So in short there really is no need to play the original.

Good luck,

L.

Lords is a great game, better than many games I tried of the like, and much better than Utopia Kingdoms. Unfortunately the game is dying an no updates for months (a year now actually) nothing new is being done. Yeah the game is dead, the in-game chat is clogged with spammers and the veterans are always picking on newbies, threatening to attack. I ignore newbies when they're hostile, and have not played for more than 15 minutes in months, since I built my castles. Managed to get military to 10,000 but stopped playing shortly after (due to it being dead) so they all got killed.

Any fans of this great game out there?  I know it was one of the best Zork games ever.  My favorite was Return To Zork and this one was my second favorite.  Too bad Zork is nothing but a memory now :(

I used to LOVE Legends of Zork but the idiots at Jolt didn't know how to handle it and make it better. I tried http://dragontavern.com/ which is the original game where LoZ was (likely) based on; and it wasn't the same... I mean I just don't get the humor in it. I knew it was all about the Zork history that kept me glued to it. Great game and I am so sad that they took it down, the redraws of the Fanucci deck was the best thing about it! The way the deck worked was an absolute amazement in itself. I miss it, not to mention I miss Zork PC games GREATLY. nothing like the graphical adventures, the best one being Return to Zork, but Nemesis and Grand Inquisitor always will have a place in my heart. I prefer Grand Inquisitor because of the puzzles, requiring magical tactics. Anyway, memories... they are all memories now.
