As Jess said, ultimately you're either buying an entertainment console or a strong gaming console. Personally, I'd go with the gaming one. I wouldn't buy a car because the gear shift is better than other cars, and I wouldn't buy a console just because it has a lot of non-gaming bells and whistles. But, that's just me.
A lot of fancy things you can do with the new system. Not sure if it's enough to sway a Sony for Lifer like me though. But I can give Microsoft credit for creating something that can reduce the amount of technology a modern living room needs.
I don't think the delay of Watch Dogs would necessarily sway me into waiting for next year for a console purchase. I plan on keeping my PS3 anyways, so getting the PS4 and playing games on both consoles will keep me entertained.
