Think I got it. I took out the NForce IDE drivers and the safely remove hardware icon went away. I think that's it, go figure.

No, the connection was the first thing that I checked. Could this be the sign of a drive going bad? I turned off the antivirus, reloaded xp and it still comes and goes......

My rig consists of an AMD Athlon 5600, a gigabyte M57SLI motherboard, 2 gigs of corsair ram, a WD 250 gig hard drive, ATI 4870 and an LG GGC H20L Blu ray/ HD DVD drive. The drive used to work fine and now seems to have a mind of its own. During the course of running a disk it will inexplicably dissapear. Not only will it stop but the computer will simply stop recognizing that it's even there at all. That sound that you hear when you unplug a thumbdrive will sound and then poof, it wont even open up! I just gave it a fresh wipe and reinstall to no avail. What could possibly cause this? Is the drive itself going out? When it works, it works just fine and then simply vanishes, sometimes a few seconds after it starts reading a disk. Any ideas?

Put it down as one card. I doubt putting it down as two will change anything, but it shouldn't hurt anything either way.

I've had a Logitech G5 for about 6 months now and haven't had any problems so far. But a few days ago the wheel seems to have come off balance a little. For example, one scroll of the wheel should adjust the web page up or down a notch. But the wheel if off balance so that the slighest touch of the wheel triggers the sensor and moves the page up or down when I'm not even trying to. It's really a pain in any first person shooter where the touch acidently changes the weapon I have. It doesn't seem easy tro take apart the mouse. Any ideas?

I recently upgraded to a 24 monitor that looks great bu DVDs don't come close to filling the screen. I still get huge black bars that take up half the screen, and this is a widescreen monitor! I run it at 1920x1200 resolution. I installed cyberlink power DVD but that only helped a little? What can I do? Would grabbing a high def drive fix the problem by upping the resoultion of the DVDs?

I just got the Gateway FHD2400 24 inch monitor for Christmas and I love it. 1080P resolution, great colors right out of the box with no problems so far. Paid $550 for it. Some have said it's one of the best 24 inchers out there. I highly recommend it.

I plan on getting a 24 inch gateway monitor for christmas that scales to 1080P. I also plan on grabbing one of the new LG Blue Ray/ HD-DVDdrives for my computer. Here's the question. Since my videocard has two DVI connectors to it and my monitor has both a DVI and an HDMI connector, I was wondering about grabbing a DVI/HDMI cable that will connect my videocard to my HDMI input on my monitor, hopefully for the best picture quality possible. I've already seen the cable for about 50 bucks and I'm just wondering if it will increase the quality of the picture even thought one side is DVI.Get all that? Thanks for any input.

I am currently using a 19 inch monitor for my computer and my 360. I bought the 360 VGA cable at best buy and it works great. The only problem is that I have to unplug my computer monitor and conect the vga cable every time I switch from my pc to my 360. But it looks great. No problems. However, for christmas I am hoping to upgrade to a 24 inch monitor. If you haven't bought a monitor yet, at least go for a 22 inch. The bigger the better. Belive me. A 20 inch will only look smaller every time you look at it. Best of luck sir.

After trying to install the crysis demo for the umpteenth time I finally got it going at a decent speed off of the gamespot website. It took up most of yesterday and now when I tried to install it a small black screen pops up for about a quarter of a second and then...... nothing. I downloaded every byte and can't figure out what the hell's going on. COD 4 demo worked fine. Any ideas?
