Playstation 3 - give me some inspiration

One year after the USA, and now that the 160GB version was announced for the North American market, Europe gets the 80GB version of the Playstation 3. Great. So I thought it was finally time to fill the blank space next to my Xbox 360 and my Wii and get the PS3 as well. Choosing my first game wasn't that hard, as I loved all Ratchet & Clank games, so it was a no-brainer to buy Tools of Destruction. But as I was browsing through the other games available, I realized there are nearly no interesting games that are PS3 exclusive. Metal Gear Solid 4 and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune actually were the only games worth buying IMO. Some may scream "Heavenly Sword" now, but I won't pay that much for 5 hours of gaming. LittleBigPlanet is the only upcoming game I can think of, that could be a system seller, now that Final Fantasy was lost to the 360. I'll probably pick up some of the upcoming sports games, for online play, but that's about it. I just hope it won't end up like my Dreamcast, which I only got 7 games for.

So please, give me some inspiration of PS3 games that one must buy.

New computer - the amazement of the small things

Last week I got my new computer. I don't want to go into details, but it's pretty damn good.

When I got it, I immediately installed Gothic 3 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. because my old machine couldn't run them and I had to wait which felt like forever to finally play them. So I probably should now be sitting here, telling you how I laugh about all the people complaining that they can't run S.T.A.L.K.E.R. smoothly, while mine runs like a knife through warm butter on max details, but I won't. And I actually can't. Ok, I played both games about 5 hours, they both looked great and were fun, but I probably spent 20+ hours of playing Football Manager 2007, since it loads so fast with my new PC and doesn't take 5 minutes to save a game anymore.

So, you might think, what do you want to tell me with that? Well, actually that it might be more enjoyable to use your two graphic cards to look at some numbers and texts than a world full of monsters and NPCs. Not because the other games are bad, but because you can finally fully enjoy the game you love so much.
