I would print off the web page that you read that from because if there is no expiration date they are still liable to repair your console and should hear from you saying so. Its worth a try. Unless you plan to take legal action you may not have a choice however, if you know someone who recently bought a 360 just see if you could use there receipt to return yours. I have a friend who bought a launch console too and his just broke down 3 weeks ago and he has to pay as well.jerry_todd
thanks for the help i am now going to try and find somewere that claims that the thing about 360's before jan 06 is true and bookmark it and print it off

sorry for the double post but I was wondering if anyone has gotten a free 360 because theres was manufactured before 2006 and if so did you do it this year (2007)

Maybe you should keep calling them until you get a different representative on the phone and try to plea with them, that's what I would do I'd call and fuss every day. When I called the few times I called I got americans.gamer082009
Ya thats what I plan on doing I think I heard that some people got did that and it worked So microsoft is going to be hearing from me quite a bit because I do not feel like paying 160 dollars for something that should be free

Ok here we go
a couple days ago my 360 gave me the three red lights. So I was really bummed, I instantly looked up many ways too try and fix it on the internet. But nothing works I tried everything Microsoft explained. then tried some some stuff other people said( not opening it up though (yet)). Then I found a ppost on the microsoft boards saying that any 360's made before jan 2006 were subjecteed to a free replacement (this is me!) So I just phoned up microsoft abouit half an hour ago(being polite to the lady the whole time). After registering my 360 with the lady who sounded like she was just brought over the border because every second word that came out of her mouth was err. umm.ohh we got to the point that my 360 did not work. now I brought up the thing about 360's manufactured befor jan 2006 again, She tells me that microsoft stopped doing this a couple months ago and that I will have to pay $160 abecause I am out of warranty and wait a certain amount of time (dont know how long could barely understand anything she was saying) then Im about to ask her how microsoft can do that and ripp me off because obviously my 360 was one of the early faulty produced ones and the call cuts off and then a automated voice tells me that my call wasnt completed and I should phone bacak later. can someone varify that ewhat she was telling me was true because I dont see how Microsoft can offer free replacements and then all of a sudden stop doing that I dont care If it would of broken down 2 years from now they still should give me a free replacement considering I bought one of the first ones which was faulty. all in all i am very dissapointed with the service that I was provided with and I feel that I am being toyed with.

thank you for anyone who took the time to read all that and I would appreciate it alot if someone could reply too this and help me out.
