Are there any jobs out there for a game cartographer? Cartographer meaning the creation/research of maps. Somehow behind the makings of Mafia II and Grand Theft Auto 4 (for example), someone had to create a world for the gamer to play in. If there are any, let me know. I am unemployed since September 2010 and live in a crappy city (St. Louis, MO), where there are NO jobs at all: I tried looking, trust me.

My pS2, (the fat version, not the slim) was damaged when it fell and lately now, the laser (I believe) is broken and whenever I play a game, the game will get to a certain point and freeze. Playing GTA San Andreas, the moment Carl leave his house, the console can't locate the game. I don't think my games are damaged but the console is busted.

Should I repair the console myself or go ahead and waste money to get it fixed?
