I think it's fitting that I've been trying to upvote and respond for a week to these comments and I get errors and exceptions. It's good to know some things never change, Gamespot.
@fir3drqgon *shrug* To each their own. If it's a ripoff for a guy who got banned for cheating to have to pay more money to cheat again, then I'm all for them getting "ripped off." Doesn't bother me in the least, because it's not me it's happening to.
@obsequies Pardon you? First off, which part is a "complete lie?" I know my own personal experiences, and you don't, so if that's what you're implying to me, you're out of line.
On the other hand, if you are implying that cheating doesn't exist on the PS3 in CoD games, I suggest you take up their forums for a while. The cheaters, hackers and modders gleefully talk about loving the PS3's free system and how it's "impossible to perma-ban them."
@obsequies The CoD games have massive cheating; the amount was unbearable on the PS3 and was one of my reasons for gravitating over to Live. It was quite a difference.
I own both systems; I play online predominately on Xbox Live. Why then?
Because that moderate fee, in many games, eliminates SCORES of hacker, cheaters, modders, etc. To be sure, they aren't non-existent on Xbox Live, but there are far fewer in my experiences. Getting perma-banned on PS3 only means creating a new online name with a new email attached to it. Getting the same on Live requires somebody to pony up more money for another account, and it's a pretty fair deterrent for game-ruiners.
@blastmaster2k2 Because they tend to look with disdain upon anyone else who plays it on anything other than max difficulty. It's a generalization, sure...but it's a pretty apt one.
