You really don't get it do you? It is not about the money, it is about the principle. I can easily afford to buy the mythic map pack but I refuse not to because I don't feel like sinking more money into a game that I already paid $70 (with previous dlc) for. Why should I be penalized even though I have already paid a premium for the game? This is a classic cash grab situation, and could even go so far as to be called extortion. The bottom line is that you should be able to enjoy everything that came with the game when you bought it.

This is a terrible thing for the gaming industry. Online gaming increases in price every year. When online gaming was in it's infancy everything was free. It still is (for the most part) on PC. Hopefully the more people they exasperate with these practices the less likely they will continue doing this in the future.
