I agree with Justin and the other posters who suggest having separate media only and open public days for E3. If the public was allowed to attend, I would go in a heartbeat. Seeing videos and reading previews online is fine, but actually getting a chance to play a game in person is much better. Sure, a preview can say that a game was fun, but only by playing it in person can you decide how fun it really is for yourself.
I hate unskipable cut scenes. Like the ones in Tenchu, or the super long unskipable summon spells from Final Fantasy. So much of my life was wasted watching those darn summon spells.
E3 probably did need alittle bit of tweeking, but I don't thing they should have turned it upside-down and changed the entire thing. I don't like them downsizing it. E3 was like the Super Bowl of gaming. Downsizing it is like trying to downsize the Super Bowl. Yeah, I can see it now. The Super Bowl is becoming too popular. The companies don't like spending millions of dollars just to put their commercials on during the game. Whatever... But I do like them changing the date to July though. Almost nothing happens during the summer months. All the good games are always released during the holidays.
1) Final Fantasy Tactics 2) The Sims (so I could at least pretend I'm back on the mainland, buying useless stuff) 3) Starcraft (If I get bored of Campaign Mode I'd make my own maps) 4) Super Mario Kart (SNES, still the best in the series) 5) Drummania 7 (Full arcade cabinet, I need some good tunes while on this dang island)
