Let's see, I recently bought Splinter Cell: Conviction as a joke to play with one of my best friends. The joke is that I suck at being stealthy and the last time he and I played a Splinter Cell game together it was Chaos Theory and well I did some very non-stealthy things. I found that the game is more action oriented then previous entries, but is still fun to play. I recently saw The Social Network and Edge of Darkness. For The Social Network I went in thinking it was going to be stupid, I mean its a movie about Facebook, however I was very impressed and now understand why it has such a high rating on RottonTomatoes.com Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails did the score and the script is very smartly written. I took a film course this year and can say that it looked well directed too. As for Edge of Darkness, I really liked it. I mean it's a great revenge movie starring Mel Gibson, whom I'm not really a fan of, but ended up really liking. It's about how his daughter is killed and he's trying to piece together why. Since I'm a criminal justice major, I liked the legal aspects of it and some of them made me laugh cause in all honesty they were true. Also 4 Loko was banned in NY and I am very unhappy about that. For my birthday I got two watermelon ones and drank them in about an hour. Guess what? I LIVED! They are banning it due to the "high" alcohol and caffeine content in them which makes its drinkers, well "loko". I read an article by a Columbia college student that perfectly described the predicament. "People have been drinking Red Bull and Vodka for years and no problems have arose and you can buy alcohol and energy drinks separately, as the student said. "Basically you can buy the ingredients to make a cheeseburger, but you can't go to McDonalds and buy one." All well, I guess it might be re-released later with a new recipe like Sparks or maybe the government will wise up and realize its not the product thats the problem its the people consuming them. Also it cost 3 bucks for each 4 Loko and thats means your paying 3 bucks for about 4 beers, pretty good deal if you ask me.

Update

Well it's been a long time since I've used Gamespot's website regularly. Lately, I've just been checking reviews for games I was interested in and then leaving the site quickly. Maybe it's because I'm now in my second year of college and have less money and can't buy as many as I did in high school. Anyway, I just want to say I've matured more and my thoughts and opinions have changed. To those looking at my profile and older reviews, I feel like I was a different person when I did those and I don't necessarily feel the same way about what I said, but am too lazy to go through and change everything. I would like to say sometimes my video game interests are similar to my movie interests. I like B-movies, so in return sometimes I like game because they are "so bad, they're good' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B_movie). I never posted regularly about things such as movies and games and now I intend to.
Survival Horror Games

Doom 3, Condemned: Criminal Origins, Condemned 2 Bloodshot, F.E.A.R, F.E.A.R Files, and Resident Evil 4 are just some of the games that I own under the horror genre. I love horror games! There is nothing better than turning out the lights at 12AM and playing them with friends until the sun rises. I get so into them and they are very good at scaring me when I play them. They don't scare me when I am in the dark going to bed or something. I just love jumping and screaming everytime a monster or creature jumps at you or attacks you. I have found that I can predict most traps or scary moments from watching so many horror movies and playing horror games. It seems at least in Doom 3, every scary moment that I predict right 5 more make me jump, that I didn't predict. It's great to express my opinions about this. I wonder if there are any other people who love to do play horror games like I do and jump. Please, by all means leave a comment. Oh and also I get the munchies when playing scary games, I get hungry when I am scared. Isn't that funny? All I know is when October 31 rolls around and Dead Space releases I will be sure to buy plenty of junk food for me and my friends to enjoy a night of fun terror.
First Blog

So this is my first blog ever. I don't know if anyone will ever read it. All well. Anyway I guess I will start out by saying I own an Xbox 360. I own all kinds of games, bad and good ones. I have a huge variety. I am going to be buying many more games when the Fall comes rolling in. I just bought Battlefield: Bad Company and so far I love the campaign. So far the best moment is Haggard running down a hill waving his arms yelling "Theres gold in them hills," all while going to start a hostile action in a neutral country. I just beat Blacksite: Area 51 and found it an interesting game that was enjoyable. I love playing a game that allows you to clear rooms with a pistol. It's 3:48am at this exact moment and this is my usual day. I stay up real late and sleep in. Im 16 turning 17 in October. I am very mature for my age and hate the ESRB for not letting me buy M games when I am alone. I guess it's for the better to stop children from picking up GTA 4. This is a lot of random information and more to come. I will write about movies, games books, and music I buy, listen and read. This is just one step to use my freedom of speech.
