I've got a project i'm working on (not for college, or for school, just something i'm passionate about) If you've got skills in being a graphic designer or in photoshop please pm or drop me an e-mail at aticofmotion@gmail.com (ps, depending on how it all goes, you may get a small paycheck for your minimal amount of work)

Is your proc centrino or core 2 duo? either way, seems somewhat slow. Also, can you send a link to your laptop on the internet just in case you listed it wrong.

Dude, anything was better than my the last card i got (an ATI x600). It was pretty gnarly. Then again, i am running GW on max with v-sync, so i guess i am not compaining too much. I am a console gamer first and foremost. I was just hoping this would thrust me back into PC gaming, but i guess once again i am wrong. Sigh, well, thx for the help guys. PEELEDbanana

Turn V-sync off and you wil get better frames

Anandtech says 8800gt sli is faster then a 280 so you could have saved some lol.

to me, it's more of a fun campy story. You know, like when you go to see War movies...is it for the story or action? Maybe a little bit of both, but mainly the action. I see this as being DICE's first step into good storytelling. Who knows really...but i think it will be able to keep you hooked for the most part.

[QUOTE="mrhankeydinks"]what brand is your comp? Honestly you could build a good gaming comp for $2000 or less. If you're a smart buyer. com2006

HP Pavilion a1630. I bought it maybe 2 years ago.

That machine does have a PCI-Express slot, but with a $2000 budget you can build a far superior machine its up to you. However if you just bought a 8800GTS 512MB card you should be perfectly fine for gaming and it would only cost $180-$200.

To be honest, I'm actually intimidated about building a machine. Is it a realatively easy thing to do with no experience?

If you follow a guide you should be fine its not as difficult as it looks.

Yeah, really its not too hard just follow a guide and you'll be fine.

New setup and desk

I finally got around to putting my new desk together, and am now back to using my main rig. I still need to bring the surround speakers back in, but that can wait.

Wow, 3 monitors, nice.
