While CoP is a better game, with more polish, less bugs and some very intresting gameplay mechanics (specially the upgrading), I still thin SoC wins by a land-slide. It has better atmosphere, the story of the Marked One is WAY better than Degtyarev's, it's somewhat harder, and it's the original. And more mods. Though once Lost Alpha gets released, it's game over for all other mods. And the games, quite possibly even Stalker 2.

[QUOTE="SPBoss"]'open-world' yh right .. multiple times i saw places where you could 'look' but you couldn't physically go. consolized

The original Crysis also had those moments. The scale in C2 is smaller, but it's still pretty big and open.

[QUOTE="ferret-gamer"] What footage have you been watching? It has god rays, they are quite easy to see right in the beginning of the trailer that the TC posted. And you will have to clarify by what you mean "atmospheric sunlight" but CE2 does dont have a global illumination system like CE3.

Seriously. Just go to page 15 and open the pics there. You can see very impressive indoor ilumination in the very first pic, godrays in the fourth picture, amazing lighting effects in the sixth, , the badass NS2 in the eight, surprisingly detailed environments, quite decent looking weapons (some slight low quality in some parts, specially with that rocket launcher).

I haven't seen a single scrap of video with better lighting than Crysis.blues35301
Lighting wise, almost all C2 vidoes show CE3 is more advanced than CE2. The problem people have is they hate the ToDs Crytek is using, but that's just personal preference. Even CE2 can look pretty goddamn awful with bad settings (and I don't think Crysis 2 is really suffering from that, not after this trailer).

Probably but I want the engine to be capable of MORE than CE2 and so far we haven't really seen that. Well we've seen that its capable of making pretty good looking console games :Pblues35301
I honestly think your expectations regarding Crysis 2 are unrealistic. Even if the game was developed for the PC exclusively, the technological jump would still be not enough for most of the people that are complaining about C2's graphics.
