Blizzard has always been kind to me and I have enjoyed their releases for the better part of two decades (yes, two). Which is why the follow up to one of my all time favorite titles (at the time), Diablo 2, was something I wanted so badly. I enjoyed it before the expansion, before the loot updates, and even through the silliness (silliness as I saw it) of people's adoration for Torchlight 2 at the expense of Diablo 3.

The expansion changes a lot about the game, all of which I found exciting and in many cases obvious. Do you remember running rampant in Diablo 2, starting a new game with friends online only to kill Mephisto in Act 3, Diablo in Act 4, and then turn your attention to Act 5 to first battle up the hill only to skip the rest and kill Baal? Those were magical times, magical times revived by the expansion of Diablo 3.

Rather than jump around the Diablo 2 campaign, Blizzard created a whole new mode for vets of the series to do that, only with greater rewards and better structure. It's beautiful, and I love it. I can't recommend it enough, it's so satisfying to throw on a new piece of equipment every time I play.

Before we conclude, I want to throw up some eye candy. For those who aren't aware, Diablo 3 wasn't expected to make anyone gawk at it's beauty, but I certainly did just that towards the end of Act 5. Enjoy. I saw a fascinating short documentary on Vimeo one week ago today. And during the course of last week I couldn't help but think of it every so often, which was often enough to take its advice and give. To give as in to add to the discussion, to authentically contribute as honestly as possible, to refuse an existence of passive consumption.

So that is why I've created this post. Sometimes it's hard to see the forest through the trees.

Test. Test test.

The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.

About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward.

Maybe they have to be crazy.

How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that's never been written? Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?

Steve Jobs made tools for these kinds of people.

While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
