How can you build one if no one buys the game because of a rammed schedule?
That's like me trying to build a franchise of subway's even though my first one didn't get me enough cash to buy the second, but I did it anyway and that one's doing even worse. I'm planning on buying a third just to set up a brand...
@7tizz: Essentially are they selling xbox one s in this advert or xbox live?
In the UK we had a big scandal on banks selling loans with insurance people didn't necessarily need.
Was promoting the insurance when selling the loan it requires valid?
The advert insinuates that 2TB's of hard drive data may relate to the speed of the network. That is misleading. And whilst many consumers will understand the difference between hard drive data and download speeds, many won't.
@7tizz: Exactly... my comparison was saying xbox are promoting this in a way as if networks promote their own programmes based on the network, not the programme.
E.g. "watch 2 and a half men... because it's on CBS" rather than "watch 2 and a half men, because of these funny moments"
Xbox "buy xbox one s, because of xbox live" rather than "buy xbox one s, because its a powerful console".
My point is you could easily buy a normal xbox one and get the same xbox live service.
Your second statement neglects that you only need internet for updates, so could easily play games otherwise.
Honestly the worst product I have seen from them, possibly from anyone in terms of its concept.
In the UK we have a programme called 'Dragon's Den' where entrepreneurs pitch ideas to wealthy investors to try and get their investment. This would get shot down so quickly on that show.
If I want to go for a run, or do exercises like press ups, there is no chance those things are staying in. And if you lose one or both, suck it pay £150 for a new pair. Give over apple this is worse than the Apple Pencil!
For the record I have a MacBook pro and iPhone so clearly not an android fanboy. These are just logical but hugeeee flaws!
Personally I don't understand how people can't understand the concept, the video they released did an exceptional job in demonstrating the console and its uses. Criticism in that regards is unwarranted.
I do however agree that 3rd party support will inherently be weak, because it's clearly not a console made in any manner near to how a PS4/Xbox One or PC will operate. Given it's a powerful handheld, it's likely that a lot of games on typical home based consoles will be far too powerful for it to run properly. And if it can, not for a very long period of time, which defeats the concept.
Ultimately Nintendo are covering a niche market. Those that lived through the glory days of Nintendo would love valid nostalgia, and we are all grown up now and likely in work, so I can understand their direction and idea. It's brilliant, but brilliantly pointless. We can't juggle these into our lives and those that can are going to look a bit weird on the bus playing on such a large handheld.
Saying that, if they can get Pokemon on the big TV, I'm in...
