@dushness: At least most of the structures there have stood, just with bad flooding. Have you not see LA? There are literally now, hundreds if not thousands of acre of nothing but soil and twigs and debris. Almost nothing is standing and what actually is, is beyond repair. Not even in the same ballpark.
@illegal_peanut: Why should it? Because it looks good? The fact is Black Myth looked so good because of the Unreal 5 engine, that's it. It looked just like all the tech demos. But as a game, it was a 7. You can deny it all day, but that's the truth. The game is okay, but it isn't a game of the year in any category unless it's maybe, "What game relied most on the Unreal 5 engine" to be good.
No disrespect to the fan, but when you're terminally ill and the last wish you have is to play Borderlands 4... me thinks he's a superfan and his opinion is going to be a little biased. I mean, they did a nice thing for him, it would be a dick move to just shit on the game after that.
With 3 being a hot mess and I've lost faith in GearBox and Pitchford, I'm not getting my hopes up in the slightest for this game.
@doublem-k: You're talking like some privileged kid who has to know everything. Like you have to know what they are doing in order to "trust" them? GTFOH with that crap. When you get their games, since GTA 3, have they never NOT delivered? I'm talking about Rockstar North. They have consistently hit home runs with GTA and Red Dead, hell, even Table Tennis was a surprise.
Fact is, they don't owe you a damn thing. They make a game, you buy it or you don't. But they owe you nothing. Just because you're a fan of their product, doesn't mean crap. You don't have the right to demand anything from them. They don't have to tell you a single thing they are doing. But, the other reason they keep things close to their chest is that rumors start and they build up to stupid expectations, but by keeping their mouths shut, nobody can claim they heard it from Rockstar. You may not like it, but since you appear to have to know everything a company does in order to trust them, I put my faith in their product. So far, not a single worry. If you want to complain about remakes and remasters, have at it because those are not by Rockstar North, those are sub-studios doing the remasters and are taking their orders from Take2, Rockstar North keeps working on their primary IP, not crappy remakes and remasters. So again, they are absolutely consistent.
@doublem-k: They do make great games and why are they not allowed to be secretive? Sometimes, secrets can be great. They offer a much more satisfying surprise when they are ready. I am so tired of everything being spoiled, from movie trailers to game announcements before the actual announcement. If they held back on telling us everything about a game and dropped it suddenly, I'd love it. I would love to feel that rush of excitement again. It's thrilling when you get a new game and know absolutely nothing about it. Today, I'll know how a game ends, who's voice acting it, what developer's baby was born during the making of it, and what political ideologies are being crammed down my through before I even purchase it, thanks to stupid "streamers" and websites like this and IGN who post all of these spoilers to get clicks before the other guys.
So I'm all for being secretive. Have at it Rockstar, you constantly deliver and for that reason, I'm IN.
Why is this news on a video game website? There are countless "streamers" who play games. Why do we care that "one" of them spent all day making a character? This is quite possible the biggest waste of time by a writer. Someone was literally paid to write this non-news. And before someone says, oh, it just shows how deep the character creator is, that she took that long. BULLSH!T, You can spend all damn day on the Sims, Elder Scrolls, WWE games, etc. This is just a BS post and I wouldn't in the less bit, be surprised if EA had reached out to Gamespot and said hey, can you cover this and show your audience how deep our creator is??
As a 44 year old, life-long gamer, I truly miss "real" game journalism. I miss the days of EGM, GamePro, even the old school IGN. Today, if it's a slow news day, people will cover streamers like their opinions mean anything.
This is off-topic, and I know this probably shows my age as an Xbox gamer, but when I saw MechWarrior, all I could think about is WHY hasn't Microsoft made a new MechAssault game? Damn, those were fun. Between that and Crimson Skies, these feel like failed opportunities.
Of course, he would, and so would Toby ... anyone would, well except for Mr. woe is me, Tom Holland. The guy makes it sound like he's just exhausted and it's so hard for him to be Spider-Man. Like it's a struggle, he is such a drama queen. Says things like, I don't know if I'll return to the role, it's just a bit much to take on and blah blah blah. Yeah, you're also paid MILLIONS to do it, and there are literally thousands of actors who would die for that chance.
I say kill off Holland's Spidey and bring back Garfield, if he's really that interested.
So they delayed the game the first time because they moved to Unreal 5... and yet, the game looks worse than the original demo trailer. How is that even possible? It doesn't even look like the same game or area.
