I just OCed my new Q8400 to 3.52, air cooled, and it's running stable after multiple HARDCORE stress tests over a week of testing, only ever maxing out at 60C (33C idle, 45C under sporadic full load doing all-day rendering jobs in Adobe Premiere CS3) It is smooth. Maybe I got lucky? In any case given my experience I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this chip for overclocking but YMMV. To correct a couple of points: 1) Photoshop and the entire CS3 suite do support quadcore. I know because that's my main use for this computer. 2) Cache is important, but not nearly as important as cycles and good RAM and stability, in pretty much any application. Yes cache is good, but it is not the holy grail I used to build and tune computers on a weekly basis, but I haven't for years. I just built my first computer in 5 years, without overclocking in mind, but I figured I'd give it a go and I'm happy with the result!
