i have never understood the great appeal of exclusives; as long as i get to play the game that i wanted, i couldnt care less how many other people have a chance to enjoy it. i dont get (not implying u TC, just in general) why people are happy when other people cant play great games, how does it benefit anybody?chaoscougar1
I personally hate the fact that so many great exclusives are coming out for each console. So many great games are coming out for PS3 finally that I feel like I need to buy a PS3 now (I still haven't gotten an HDTV to make my games look good >:( )
I agree with the people that said Banjo for different reasons.
1) The game itself is an "in your face, Nintendo" game for anyone following the console wars. If you want to stick it to Nintendo by buying a game that they no longer have the rights to and can only wish they still had on their console, this is the game to buy. It's Microsofts way of saying "screw you, we can make platform games with cute characters too".
2) How many more FPSs and RPGs do we need?
3) How man more Call of Dutys do we need, in general?
So, we'll see next week if its worth it. So far it looks totally over hyped and I still think I should of bought Guild Wars instead.
Anyone feel that you've played out Fable two and there is nothing more to offer? I did the main quest as a good character and don't really want to even try an evil character. Maybe I got burned out. It seemed kinda fast though--it took me a long time to get tired of oblivion. I basically have been playing this game for two weeks. Anyone feel the same? Motara
You don't really need to play the game as an evil character. The ending is the same anyway. In fact, the whole good/evil crap in the game doesn't mean anything at all! Sure, you could go around playing Donald Trumph's Business Tycoon and maybe have an orgy (dog included), but there's really nothing special about the game (imo).
Anyway, I picked up Fallout 3 a couple days ago. Somebody tell me that I'm not going to be disappointed this time around.
[QUOTE="Verge_6"][QUOTE="ANeuralPathway"]This guy should really go back and read the post about cognitive dissonance. The sad thing is, people like this will never even consider the fact that they are getting screwed. If you pay for Live over the 360s lifespan(say five years for this example)-that is 250$. The price of the console itself, to get full use out of many, if not most, games. Most of my favorite games are online, but I would never pay 250$ to be able to play them, it's just not worth it. Worse still, you are being charged to play on your own connection. If MS was providing dedicated servers for all of these games, it would be a whole different ballgame-but they aren't.
Actually, rereading the post I'm quoting, it really isn't worth responding to, as it is essentially rambling incoherence that doesn't contain a single valid point.
Edit: Actually, market competition is a valid point, but I don't see how that has anything to do with Live costing a fee.

I consider myself pretty egotistical, but...wow. That was really something else.
Funny how there are more users on live than PSN (Piece-of **** Network)
No, really? Lives also been around longer.
to bad it flopped :(spike6566
Not really. A good majority of the talk on these forums is dedicated to Fable II and most game forums for that matter. It's selling pretty well. A good majority of the complaints were from people who had already planned to complain before the game was even released (i'm not saying all the complaints are from those people, just a good majority). None the less, the game is in high demand. I wouldn't say thats a flopped game.
