No offense but, I'm sure no one's really ever thought about that. Every one doesn't know what a SD card is.:?

They are actually propriatary SD cards, not cartridges. There is a difference between cartridges and SD cards.

I do not know why many on this forum say that DS games play on cartridges, even though they are on SD cards. The terms are not interchangable.

Sorry dude, I just got your question.  It's not annoying at all.  I can't see it while I'm playing.  I just happen to notice it while playing in a dark room.  I can only see it if I actually face that part of the DS Lite towards me.

It's not so much as annoying, as I'm worried about dust particles getting inside that thin crevice. It's supposed to be together, but it's not. It's as wide (open) as say...maybe a very fine piece of tread, which light can shine through.  Which means dust could get inside (maybe).  There's not much of a chance, I guess.  I'll get over it though, it's already been like 7 days since I bought it.  Thanks everyone for your input.

I just bought a second DS Lite into my household and there's something different about it. On the part of the system that faces you when you play most games (where the volume control is), there's a beam of light shining through a small thin place along the GBA slot (just above it). When I remove the GBA slot cover and press the upper part between my fingers firmly, the light disappears. What's happening is light is shining through the two pieces of white plastic that come together behind the clear plastic. It's only noticeable in low light levels and really noticeable when it's dark in a room. And it can't been seen while playing.

Has anyone else seen this on they're system? It's no big deal to me except I'm worried that that very fine opening exposes that part of the DS to the elements, like dust could get in under the touch screen somehow. I'm about half ready to go and exchange it tomorrow. Can anyone else tell me if they heard of this before please?:?

I use white.  At first I didn't read into the message like others did, I knew you meant the DS's color.  Then I read others people's posts and then I saw a whole new meaning to the question.:P

Darn it!  I want to change my choice from Mario Kart DS to what this guy just said, which was Metroid.  Nothing has yet to come out yet to even match this games' graphical prowess.  I've often said to myself that this game looks like a high quality last generation PS One game.
