[QUOTE="Xyphon101"]Ehh, I can't ignore it.. These things bug me >.riariasesI can't believe you. No more to say but ignore it. You're basically stealing if you try and return it over a scratch. Not from the store but from Nintendo. They have to send the thing back to Nintendo and get a new one.
HAHAHAHAHAHA. Gamestop's return policy clearly states,
"Opened new merchandise may be exchanged for the identical item within 30 days of purchase but, withthe exception of opened new accessories, cannot be returned for a refund."
Therefore, it is not stealing. He is following the guidelines and return policy set forth by gamestop. If you spend 170 dollars on an item, you have the right to exchange it for the same item, no questions asked.
Only being dishonest because Gamestop has the worst return policy ever. They ask you why your returning it and demand an answer. This is why I don't shop there. I purchased my DSI from amazon.com and it hada minor issues with the top screen. 1 Dead pixel. Gamestop would not have let me return it for that reason. However,Amazon let me return it within 30 days, no questions asked and even gives the option of a replacementor a full refund. Furthermoore, they mailed me out my replacement before I had to mail back the defective one.
You paid 170 dollars for the item. You have the right to return it within 30 days under any circumstances if you are not happy with it. Don't let gamestop dwebs refuse a return.
Just take it back with your receipt and demand a new one. Say that the system keeps locking up on you after about 15-20 minutes of game play. They'll be unable to confirm it and be forced to give you a recplacement. Good Luck.
Well my original DSI, the one that clicks, has a defective screen and I'm returning it to Amazon.com. They mailed me out a new one and require that i return the original within 30 days. Just curious, since the new one they sent me doesn't click when opened when the original, defective screen one does. Just trying to figure out if its suppose to or not. Thanks.
Hey guys. I have two black DSI's. When I open one it makes a clicking noise when it opens up and locks into place. The second dsi I have does not make the clicking noise at all. Does your DSI's make a clicking noise when you open it? Please let me know
Amazon.com's return policy is pretty amazing. I could have gotting a total refund on my DSi or just exchanged it. I've decided to exchange it. They are mailing me a new Dsi this week and I just have to mail back the defective one within 30 days. This way I won't be without my DSI at all. Sweet :)
I had this exact same issue on the left side of the screen, along with 2 dead pixels on the touch screen. Gamestop would not exchange for the crooked screen or the 2 dead pixels. They said the crooked screen was a cosmetic issue and there needs to be at least 8 dead pixels for an exchange. I will never buy anything from them again. The store is turning too military for me. Some of their policies these days are absurd.

Bro don't let gamestop push you around. Go back at another time when that guy isn't there and return it. Just tell them that the system freezes and locks up every 15 minutes or so of game play. They'll have to take it back since they won't have time to test these claims. In the future, show at walmart or target or best buy as they'll take things back with no hastle. Let us know how things turn out.
Can you calibrate the top screen? If so how?
It is the same problem that this guy is having http://techforums.nintendo.com/nins/board/message?board.id=dsi_main&thread.id=444 . Only mine is the top screen instead of the bottom screen. I guess if this isn't normal then I will return it, but I purchased it from Amazon.com so it'll take over a week to send it to them and then get it back. Such a pain.
