PC Gaming Rulz!

The PC is the best platform to enjoy games! Forget the issues of incompatibly and varying hardware performance. If you are a serious gamer than you learn how to make a game run smoothly and tweak it to tip-top performance. Once you feel it struggling, you upgrade.

Consoles are so restrictive. They limit the capability of the games for way to long and long after the PC has far surpassed them in quality. I wish development studios and publisher would focus more on the superior platform and stop giving us lame console ports.

My biggest gripe is FIFA! FIFA 09 on the PC was an absolute joke compared to the XBox 360 version. My gaming PC would kick seven shades of s**t out of the 360 but they give us this relic of a game and re-brand it FIFA09. They should be ashamed. I hope they don't repeat this mistake with the upcoming FIFA10.

Exploration

Is it just me or do games take twice as long as they are suggested to complete because you find yourself exploring every little nook and cranny there is?! I've just completed The Witcher and it took me the best part of two months to complete (and that's only with the neutral ending). I'm not one for replaying a game (even if there are alternative endings) so I make sure that when I play a game through I've seen everything it has to offer.

By the way, The Witcher was the first RPG I've really played and I would highly recommend it. As I like to feel I've made the most of a game I liked that fact that there was only one character class but you could develop them as you wish. A lot of RPGs have several different character classes and I am put off because I would feel that I had not explored them to the full without playing each class. The problem with this model is that the game and plot ultimately remain the same so there doesn't seem much point in replaying the whole game to get the benefit of each character class.
