Oh bravo. Bravo, GameSpot. By jove, you've done it again!
You figured you couldn't give the game a 7, because that's “Good”, and your little political cult has you on too tight a leash for that. But you couldn't give the game a 5, because then it would be too obvious that you're all essentially prostitutes now, given how amazing everyone already knows the game actually is.
So what to do? What to do!? Why... 6 of course! Such skillful manovering. Such deft articulation. Such elegant ajudication. Absolute genius!
And the benefit of scoring your games based on nothing at all besides a) what your cult will allow, and b) what you're able to get away with without cannibalising what integrity you have left, is that now, you don't even have to play the game at all! It's not even a factor! Talk about a time saver! AND! You don't even need to have an author! You don't even need to take responsibility for your own lies! Any score you want. Based on anything you want. Anonymously. ... I... I don't know what to say. It's inspired. I don't know why you didn't think of this before.
Now if only you had a way to continue to make money from “transphobia” by writing dozens upon dozens more articles on it, and all the clicks that go with it, while simulatenously having them not be visible on the site so you can keep faking it.
Great news. I'm not holding my breath for the new Gollum game, I loved Battle for Middle-Earth (1, not 2 so much). The forgotten War of the Ring game from 2003 was pretty good as well. Shadow of Mordor made you feel like such a badass. Shadow of War, not quite as good but still great, and an amazing spectacle, and of course who doesn't love The Return of the King. I just hope they stick closer to the films than the new TV show.
@zelda37: Yeah I noticed that too. “Wakanda Forever even managed to be an actual great film.” Wakanda Foreverwas many things, but an “actual great film” was not one of them.
Aside from being messy and directionless, it may have had the least compelling villain in MCU history. But hey these writers get fired if they don't have the correct opinions.
